When I was a little kid, I tried so fucking hard to save everyone in Majoras mask. Beat all the dungeon bosses and complete all the side quests in the 3 days time just so everyone would be happy after I beat Majora. My mom still tells me about the time where I came running into the kitchen crying and when she asked what was wrong, I told her through sniffles that I couldn’t help everyone
Granted, I was a little kid so most of it was me fucking up or wasting time and now a days, I can probably go back and do all of it after a few tries but still, Majoras Mask was an emotional game for me as a kid

@@threadychimp5565 I think you're right about that. While I will admit that doesn't seem good for the main drive of the game, I think it adds to the world itself. The people lived for 100 years without a threat, and although weird stuff starts happening when link wakes up, it doesn't immediately threaten everyone. The people of hyrule go about living as your or I might in their place, at least as best as nintendo imagines they might. Great artistically, maybe not perfect for gameplay. What do you think?

Well, the game has issues. Issues that could be fixed if they could remake it properly. There are things in it that would have made it a fun game.. Just take out the aspects that punish the player too much. Tweak it so, when you die, you can respawn or restart close to where you left off. Add some maps. But till that happens, it is not a good game. And I say this with a soft spot in my heart for Zelda 2.

well this guy seems to have a hate boner for it cos most comments I've seen mentioning the game on this video have him calling it trash
I will admit, it's not a perfect prequel (though to be fair I'd have been depressed playing a game where I know the characters I've come to love are going to lose)
But all in all it has some really great moments as well as much needed character development of the champions and the 3 best Sheika
Do *you* remember Impa and Purrah being sisters? Cos i forgot that entirely up until this game though that could just be me
And i feel the way they handled the time split was very nice this go around (looking at you ocarina of time) because its a pretty clean cut loop aside from some things i won't get into because of spoilers for people who haven't played the game
Its not perfect, but calling it trash isn't giving it the credits it *does* deserve
Hell, i actually cried at some moments because I really felt emotionally invested in these people struggling to change their fate

I feel like the game wouldn't have worked if it had the same overworld themes all the other ones have. It's supposed to be a lonely world and that makes it sooo much more satisfying to hear music in the distance and follow that direction because you know there's something interesting waiting for you! I remember getting super hyped up when hearing kass and the stable music every single time. So yeah, I completely agree.

@@jenniferchough I love the music but the problem is that you almost never hear it. Would it hurt them to tickle my balls a bit and let me hear the amazing music some more? Hearing the same piano thing in the overworld in my 500+ hours starts getting a little old. Hearing the same basic enemy music just starts getting old. And my favorite tracks in the game I only hear very limitedly. I love kass' accordion yet I only hear it in certain places. I absolutely love the main theme yet you rarely hear it. I just wish I could get more lovable tracks and hearing them more often. I always loved Oot, WW, Tlp, and links Awakening because the themes made me feel the world. It made different areas so much more meaningful. I do still enjoy botw but I still can't help but miss the amazing music instead of a more background subtle theme they went for with this game.

Gravity Falls Canada well the weapon system has not been universally hated, personally I like the fact that weapons break. It makes you think about if you need to fight a enemy and risk breaking your weapon or save it for something more challenging. But most of these criticisms are about things that are optional, you don’t need to collect all korok seeds or finish all the shrines, what I like is that all of that is optional. You can go straight to ganon and finish the game, or 100% the game, or any other thing you want. The game has really bad rewards for certain things. The reward for collecting all korok seeds, literal shit. But the rewards for the shrines is maxed out stamina ( if you choose ) and maxed out hearts ( if you choose). Plus if you really want to max out your inventory you only need about 450 of them. The dlc is either not enough content for the price, or is priced to high, BUT the Mastr Cycle Zero is supposed to be a reward that does not fit in the main game. That’s the whole point of dlc to bring something different to the main game that’s why it makes sense the the Master Cycle Zero is a dlc prize. The frame rate is not good but it’s still passable because the frame rate only drops only ( from what I know of) rain, Fire, or high weapon/enemy count. It would be extremely hard not to have a frame rate drop when it is running on the switch. I believe it would’ve been better on the PS4 or Xbox because those consoles are more powerful.

Just wanted to say that in Mario Odyssey some of the moons are put in poor places or are rewarded for stupid reasons. For example there is a moon in wooded kingdom that involves breaking a rock open. The act of breaking a rock open only gives you coins unless you are getting said moon. That means that the act of breaking a rock is the equivalent of a coin. So why is the same action that is worth 1 COIN worth a moon? But that’s me nit picking, the story is supposed to be simple is Mario supposed to be as story focused as Silent Hill? NO. Your just an Italian plumber who wants to save a princess from a gay turtle. I would only criticize the story if it actually meant something and wasn’t so down to earth simple and not meant to be focused on. That’s why Zelda isn’t perfect, the story is just full of plot holes and the enemy variety sucks.

    • @ShadowSkyX
      @ShadowSkyX 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

That was me against master mode Ganon. I thought I'd be fine brute forcing it just at a faster pace with strong weapons like before. Lol nope, he kept climbing the wall and regaining the tiny bits of health I took and then some. I had to make another attempt and forced to use the ancient armor, battle axe++, two shiekah shields, (ancient) bow and arrows, +3 attack food and of course the Master Sword. The shields broke (I'm not good on timing my parries against lasers, sometimes i get it and most times i mess up. I didn't feel breaking all my shields with inconsistent parrying and losing so much health over it) and the blade saw broke on the final hit that transitioned him into his second phase. The regen was no joke but at least I learned more moments I could counter and that I didn't need updraft for the final shot against Dark Beast Ganon.

I understand your gripe about Ganondorf in TP, especially for the time when it came out. That said, his personality shift in Wind Waker to Twilight Princess likely has to do with what he had dealt with, between the two timelines.

The reason why OOT of time is in my top 5 games, is because I can still play it today, and love it. I was able to overlook the negatives for all of the positives.

Being someone who's very musical in their life (I can play a lot of instruments and have been in many music programs for over 10 years) and someone who's seen the "Invisible Sound Design" video I can really appreciate what the sound directors did with the music and ambience. Ayonix Animations as someone who loves music and grew up with Zelda, I agree completely. The music in BotW is not always bombastic, which is why I think people don’t like it. Rather than bombastic, though, it’s dynamic and smart. You get the catchy melodies in the towns and the bombastic music is there when it’s needed. It has the most well thought-out music in the series imo

So, the way I see it, in Breath of the Wild, every Champion has a special ability: you have Daruk's Protection, Mipha's Grace, Revali's Gale, and Urbosa's Fury, and they seem to be able to use these abilities without a recharge time. It's probably the same for our protagonist, just call it Link's Focus, wherein when he performs a perfect dodge he enters a state of hyperfocus- which looks like bullet time for us the players- and is able to take advantage of the momentary opening presented by dodging. I suspect it's one of the main reasons he becomes such a renowned knight in the original story, as well as Age of Calamity.
Also, to everyone arguing that this either extends to his ability to enact bullet time while drawing a bow- or it not making sense because of no other character being able to do that- keep in mind the only "characters" we see use bows are the Rito, who already fly and probably don't need bullet time, and enemies, who flail or fall helplessly when they're in the air with no support. We have no other proof that literally no other character is incapable of bullet time with bows.

Not quite change forms, like full blown physical changes like the enemies and Link himself. Other Hylians like Link are just wisps that are completely oblivious to what is going on. And it also begs the question of that why didn't Zelda become a wisp, and because she's a bearer of the Triforce like Link, why didn't she get a new form? Can't really say much for Ganondorf since he's kinda sorta ish a spirit in the Twilight Realm, and only manifests a normal form when light is restored to Hyrule. So for why Link just turns into a wolf, there isn't a whole lot of reason as to why besides some vague mention of legend of the Twili.

Now honestly how nice would it be for a dlc or expansion where you do play through the old hyrule and you do get to fight with the champions. Hell I'd pay full price if we get enough. I feel if done right the world they created could be fantastic if they add like other stuff to the origins of the characters. Maybe a child link section in the beginning functioning as the tutorial where it shows this great failure. No one said you have to win when beating a Zelda game. Or maybe we can do the time paradox route. But we can totally make a game out of old hyrule with changing bits to the map and stuff. So many possibilities and If done right could be the best Zelda ever.

If you wanna know why people hate Skyward Sword, talk to Arin Hanson. The entire internet pretty much just fuckin took up his opinion after he realeased Sequelitis so now people that haven't even PLAYED the game are shitting on it

Cause everyone hates the motion controls being so janky and Fi talking to them 24/7 and the game being pretty slow on action. I fuckin loved it tho.

The last boss in the champion balad dlc is SO BAD in master mode.
He has phases where he is invincible, so he regenerate and you're forced to waste arroys while he's invincible just to de-activacte the regeneration. And he has like a billion HP. I was so affraid I would run out of arroys/weapons and I almost did.
This boss fight in master mode was NOT play-tested, it was horrible, just like some part of the master trials where you are forced to cheese

Tbh master mode would be a million times better without the health regen.

Watered down ocarina of time that feels really dark and uncomfortable: not edgy?
      Boi what?

@@b1tfl1p There is a distinct difference between "dark and uncomfortable" and "edgy". OoT is not edgy because first off, it made every one of all ages uncomfortable (Dead Hand is a great example). "Edgy" doesn't really do that. Being "edgy" has multiple meanings, but in this case for TP, it's just having a different mood-setting. "Edgy" is tamer than "dark and uncomfortable", and TP is a pretty tame game compared to OoT if you nitpick the messages it gives out.

If that game had anymore edge to it, it would be the sword of heroes from Kung Fu Panda. For those of you who don't know it, its the sword that cuts you just because you looked at it, and it doesn't have to touch you to do it. Midna was awesome though , and the Hero's Shade is in my top 10 favorite characters.

While Ocarina has padding in text crawl, and unskippable cutscenes for everything, basically every 3D Zelda afterwards until BOTW had that too.
Majora's Mask did let you speed up text crawl, but even games like Wind Waker and Skyward Sword had super slow text speedup, to the point where it was still painful.
