Ahaha, I'm the exact opposite. After all my labbing, I ended up having one of my worst Magik games ever since I got so focused on trying to combo, I forgot all about positioning, messed up my aim, and completely forgot how to play her.
The attack hold is what I missing with these! I come from a fighting game background so I’ve been used to trying to time them perfectly but was struggling to get it as fast, not knowing that holding left click was the dark tech
you’ve posted some really insightful videos and explained things in way more depth and understanding than any other combo videos i’ve seen from other hero mains. keep up the great work dude.
For new Magik players, holding left button down for the duration of the combos is critical. I only realised this after watching other Magik guides and playing/testing for hours. A couple more situational combos: Attack someone who's high in the air: Jump > Dash > Roll > Demon (Space > E > Shift > RMB) The demon appears at your character's exact position and has a bit of range. you get a fair bit of height too. just aim at your target and time RMB for when you're closest to the enemy. High damage attack on tank: Jump + Roll + Demon [at head height] + Dash (Space > Shift > RMB > E) Demon's attack will hit the tank initially and during the knockup if timed right. LMB can be weaved in if the tank is slow to react. These are both very situational and hard to pull off in a real fight, but have both gotten me kills or disrupted flying enemies or high camping snipers
I kept testing and kinda found a sweet spot when charing your right click that will allow the Melee>R click> Melee> QMelee to kill. By charging it on the minimal possible, with a pure perfect timing and the right amount of miliseconds, you got yourself 250 dmg for the same combo and barely slower. No clue how pratical it is but kinda sound like a flex
said it on your other vid, but M1, melee, right click, M1, melee, hits in a 1 cycle animation for the M1. basically just weaving in an MMO if that makes sense :)
You're not performing the combo correctly. You only quick melee after LMB and then only if you get a kill or animation cancel. You showed LMB+quick+RMB+quick+LMB which is slow, but that's because the last quick and LMB should be inversed. LMB timing doesn't get interrupted after using an ability, so you can quick melee, cancel with RMB, then quickly LMB and then they should have just enough hp for another quick to kill if theres no healing. Quick melees are good because they can extend your combo without using resources and it will be faster than just using abilities and LMB, but you only quick melee if you have a way to cancel it. If you combo the way I describe, both your E and your RMB can be used to burst 250hp characters down separately without needing both for the combo. TL;DR: Never quick melee after an ability, only ever after LMB.
I think we're understanding eachother wrong. So with the way your describing it I went over it if you lmb and quick melee it makes your next lmb come out slower so the burst is higher but the sustained damage is lower. For combo application this could be optimized yes. I'm gonna have to look over it though I think I might've went over it wrong in the video because I thought I only quick melee'd after lmb, the ones where I didn't were messups but still just to show the damage numbers, so its my bad in that regard. Thank you for the insight though as I do agree that quick melee is good for burst setups, but not sustained damage.
I think I just misread it, but I get what you mean yeah. You're saying to weave in a quick melee after every lmb for extra dmg to optimize burst combos. Is this correct? TDLR I'm a lil stoopid haha.
@@pota6214 Yes. the combo you demonstrated you use a quick melee after an RMB which is why the combo was so slow. However I don't actually know if it's faster than LMB+RMB+LMB+LMB, I haven't properly timed it.
Do you think it's important to try to slash -> quick melee -> portal whenever you're brawling? Like if you just used your E and right click to get a kill and all you have left is portals
Actually, her dash is extremely consistent, it just has very little to do with the crosshair. The dash is aligned with her character model and moves her straight forward towards where her character model is facing, not where you're aiming with the crosshair. So you always want to aim slightly to the right of your target, unless you're really close. Or just learn to use your character's model (combined with the crosshair) to aim with.
ive literally just been labbing your combo from your last vid and deadass went 34 and 7 in quickmatch, clearly you know what your talking about lmao

@@saver_spenta_mainyu Very common tbh, once it all clicks together you're gonna be a beast.
Very helpful, I already do pretty well with Magik most of the time but I definitely could use stuff like this to get better, keep up the good work!
Youre probs the most infformative magik on youtube right now. Keep the vids coming

Good stuff! I learned a couple more combos from this video, will implement this into my gameplay! thanks

Can we get some gameplay with you showing combos being used in real games? p.s. great work!
I dont even play magic. But seeing geniunely good info is fantastic. Youre the first Rivals youtuber ive subbed to!.
portal left+E left melee right kills panther (300hp targets)
AYYYYY YOU DID THE TITLE THING
dang and you're up like... over a 100 subs since the last vid I saw. growth go brr.
I recommend changing quick melee from V to F or even an additional mouse button you feel comfortable with that.
Can you make a compilation of these combos in matches?

Love the tutorials, can you show me how you play maps that have a lot of verticality because i feel like thats where i struggle

How do you use the ult,?
everything is so slow in it
cancel auto attacks animations with skills, as they come up really fast
"people wanted to know the buttons I'm pressing on a tutorial on how to press buttons a certain way" no way bro wtf
Hot tip, link your twitch in the description
Great tutorial btw how does the eldritch whirl hit box act?
Is it like a circle as the animation implies or more like a sphere
Magik's dash is super inconsistent. Sometimes a dash not looking at the enemy will hit and other times you will miss even if you're just a pixel off
Always aim to the right of them, its more generous on the left side of the hitbox but the right side is short
Actually, her dash is extremely consistent, it just has very little to do with the crosshair. @@SlCKNESS_ isn't it the opposite? If you're close then you have to aim to their right cause only then is her model right in front
How do these combos translate to Darkchild? Her animations get a lot slower. Are the combos possible with timing adjustments?
Portal spin spam is the way to go for darkchild it does too much damage not to use it
bro i thought this hero was dog shit til i see this
They're all good, we're all just learning
love this
