The good players will always get paid like Ohtani or Yamamoto. The problem with the Boras 4 is that they are not elite players but are asking for a higher tier pay than they are worth.
Add the Mets and Padres that tried but went bust, which scared the rest of the owners into making rational decisions. Had even one of them gone deep into the playoffs, I guarantee you the Boars 4 would all be signed already with what they are asking for.
All eyes will now be on the Dodgers with their Billion 2, the luxury taxes they will be penalized for, and the loss of draft positions again (I think, but I need to confirm).

This right here. This is exactly what’s going on in the league and old school agents like Boras refuse to accept that this is the way teams are operating now. Montgomery for example is not going to get 150mil from any team. He’ll be lucky if he even gets 100m this late in the offseason. It's weird how a 2x CY Young winner and a MVP (multiple down-ballot MVP) are heavily criticized for wanting huge contracts (understandably, didn't want my team to pay that rate for them)... but Yamamoto and Lee get $340M and $120M and they have no track record at all in the MLB. The international market hype needs to come down as well at some point. Lee and Yamamoto are likely being pumped up by Kim and Darvish/Ohtani successes, not their own MLB results.

If a team is patient and doesn't swing at bad pitches the bases are full. He pitched well last year but was lucky as well. A bloop single, error or whatever and were talking a different story. He started 1-7 w-l with a ERA around 4.50. He's a likeable guy but is good for 4 2/3 or 5 1/3 per start. Not worth Orth of $150 in my opinion.

But Soto at 23 passed on $440 million!!! Now the 15 years was much but who is going to offer $500 plus that Soto will want? I think the Ohtani deal was the Babe Ruth deal… I simply don’t believe that any everyday player is going to better the 9/360 that Judge got. Maybe GM’s and owners are focused on shorter contracts with large amounts of? Like 3/99 or 4/135 and that’s the new ceiling! Just saying…

Playing a sport at any level isn't a right; it's a privilege. Trevor Bauer lost his privilege by violating the terms of MLB's domestic violence policy. No MLB team should sign him. Whether or not a case went to court is immaterial. What matters is that he violated the sport's collectively bargained DV policy. Also, Bauer isn't being denied a right to make a living. He can work plenty of jobs, just not in Major League Baseball. People lose their jobs over stuff like this all the time. Why should Bauer be treated any differently?

You know what isn't a privilege in this country, it's a right under the Constitution that you are innocent unless proven guilty. I'm not aware that ever happened. He served the maximum penalty that MLB handed out, so no ban I'm aware of there... In an era where men dress up in dresses and wigs and get appointed to high level government jobs and being told about children having gender reassignment choices!?! Guess what, some people like rough sex, I had a girl suddenly almost bite my tit off, I didn't like it. I didn't bring charges against her because she was a nobody not worth pressing charges, but if I found out she was rich or famous, I was bleeding pretty good. We don't even know what really happened, so if he said he would just concentrate on baseball, being a Christian, I would give him a second chance until something else ever happened.

Sure, the guy's a freaky dude in the bedroom, but he never abused or assaulted anyone. Bauer did not violate the policy either, that was proven to be false when all the truth came out.
