You can wind up just as much dead by a crazy white guy in a republican state or a gang member in new york. Or cartels in florida than by the taliban in afghanistan. Also, tourists got killed by isis. Not the taliban . Isis are not same people. They ended up walking into the wrong people. Its not much different from the u.s. their is always a chance you can be killed in your visit.

    Western forces did not flee when the Taliban took over. The US trained Afghan soldiers for years and years and provided all sorts of weapons and equipment. After 20 years the US said, okay, it is time for the Afghan military & people to take care of yourselves. The Taliban resisted the democratic government in place, fired about 7 shots and the Afghan military folded faster than an aluminum lawn chair in a dust storm. The Taliban was in power in a week because the Afghan military were chickens and wanted the US to continue to fight their battles instead of them taking responsibility for their own Country and defending its democracy.

    • @exelrode
      @exelrode 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Or maybe its because US trained a poor and ill-motivated army with poor leadership, just like how it was with south vietnam and countless other militias in the latin america that u armed in hopes of toppling the mostly soviet leaning governments in the south american contintent but in most cases it didn't work out or back fired tremendously. This is what happens when you try to build an army without any knowledge of the local country or the culture, institutions can't be build this way and a professional armed forces is an institution.
      Also without air support most US soldiers would have fled afghanistan long time ago since you are so dependent on it for decades now fighting against militants and insurgents

I think music is still banned today besides only Talib approved songs, don’t think anybody wants to bump that Talib CD in the 1990 Corolla besides the Talibs lol

    The NRF is playing the same game that the Taliban did...which is very effective.
    But frankly, America had been hoping Afghans would have defended their country WHEN WE LEFT. They were TOTALLY provisioned THEN. But like the Iraqis, they simply abandoned EVERYTHING, and ran.
    I believe there was ONE area holdout...and NONE of the country helped them. .
    Contrast that with the Ukrainians, who do their own damn fighting and only asked for ammunition. If THEY had what we left the Afganistan miltary, THEIR War would have been won and over now.
    The truth of the matter is you broke our hearts. We spent 20 yrs hoping, and American soldiers dying and coming home missing limbs from IED's...
    For WHAT ??? What exactly do you think was in that for us.??? A friend made today, could...AND DID betray you tomorrow. A village school you built today and that rush of accomplishment...reduced to rubble next time you saw it. YOU BROKE OUR HEARTS DAILY.
    America came because of 9/11. But we stayed to help. We thought to give you reasons to care. But in the end, after 20 YEARS none of that mattered.
    And now some guy claims he does care. AGAIN. And of course he WANTS STUFF. AND MONEY. Forgive me for not being impressed. WHERE ARE THE REST OF YOU ???
    But then, where were you EVER ???
    You were like children, depending on the benevolence of Daddy. Showing him your small accomplishments..and Daddy would beam...That frankly the rest of the 21rst Century World take for granted, daily as things that must be done...
    Well, Daddy is gone, now. As all Daddys do in time. Maybe it's time to grow up. Maybe it's time to stop expecting SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX THINGS FOR YOU.
