Great show ladies! I just watched the replay. I am so saddens to hear this is your last collaboration of the year, I love you two together. I wish I had found you ladies earlier, yesterday was my 10 wedding anniversary. My husband surprised me be saying we are renewing our vows... Saturday... tomorrow... here in the house. Just a small casual thing, but still is going to be about 20 people in my house. So today I'm doing a deep clean, trying to declutter and make room for about 20 people. He doesn't actually know how many or who is coming. Lord help me! Such a sweet gesture, but not something that should be surprised upon me.
A vow renewal is so special! I hope all your plans come together and you have a wonderful time. And here's the thing...people will remember the occasion, they will think about how sweet he was to plan it. No one will be thinking about dust or clutter. Just enjoy!
I bought a Kindle Scribe to combine and organize all of my notes and I use it daily. I had dozens of notebooks, sticky notes, recipes etc all in drawers and piles. Now everything is in once place and I can back it up to my computer. I turned my pantry inventory and shopping list into a PDF and loaded that onto it as well and use it daily to track what I've used and what I need to purchase. I don't think I can ever go back to paper now, and as a plus, writing on the scribe feels and sounds like paper and pencil. It can also search your handwritten notes!
What! A Kindle scribe? I just bought a new Kindle Fire HD tablet. If I had known about a scribe I might have revised the purchase. Well, I am trying to use my Apple system...notes, tasks, much more often and much better. We will see how I do.
I clean as I go and as needed. I regularly purge what doesn't fit or isn't being used. I'm a minimalist. I do laundry once per week. I have a recipe box , cookbooks, and my favorite a binder. If I find a recipe online I print it, place it in a page protector, and in a binder. Page protectors keep pages from ripping, staining, and getting them wet. I do the same with general notes, my dream journal, and gaming guides. I cook sinigang (Filipino sour soup) once per week all year round. It is my favorite food. Lee doesn't like it, but our son Daniel loves it. It is a love or hate dish. I plan to learn construction skills. I prioritize sleep and keep hydrated. I also reserve most of my free time for my hobbies (books, video games, dream journal, walks, hikes, and kettlebells). They help me with mental health. To keep home cozy I do my Bohemian and Eclectic style. I also use my favorite colors (blue and brown) a lot.
Love you ladies! This is wonderful advice. I know my day starts better when I wake up to a clean sink and coffee that's programmed to be made and ready when I get up.
Happy Christmas and New Year to both of you ❤🎉 I do laundry on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That's enough since it's just the two of us. I no longer have a recipe box. I have typed up all my recipes into Word documents. I have it organized by types of food, and I uploaded them to Google Docs. I can access recipes when I'm at the store so I can buy the ingredients. I do wish I had kept the cards with my mom's handwriting, though. I don't know what new thing to learn in 2025. I want to continue decluttering my home like Swedish Death cleaning.
You two are adorable! I'm 5 min. in and already know this is going to be a keeper. I saved it in case I don't finish watching. Did I say you two are also brilliant? You are !!
Oh my...thank you. I must admit, we have a good time when we get together. And can you believe we met online. We are TH-cam sisters. We just connect. I think because we both understand the needs of homemakers. Been there. Done that. Got the tee shirt to prove it. Hahaha! And we enjoy sharing our knowledge. Ms Leona will be on first on January 8. Do come back to check her out. I'll be on the week after that.
On the breakfast casserole, those can be frozen. I froze one solid, unbaked, and took it in a cooler on a trip with girlfriends to a beach house. It baked up beautifully for breakfast during the trip. We each provided a meal during the stay, and mine was breakfast!

I was able to watch the replay of this live. These are really good ideas 😊
