I always buy black or dark brown now because white bag so difficult to clean when they get stain or sometimes i would accidentally pen it with a ballpen and very difficult to come off
i clean all my coated canvas LV bags with water wipes first then cadillac leather cleaner then cadillac conditioner, let dry then the next day condition again. I would do the same with MK and other brands too.

because the leather is untreated, it is hard to revert an oxidize leather piece back to its original state. your best option is to either get the leather portion of the tank replaced by Louis Vuitton or a third-party leather goods repair place. 💜
