You’re wrong….authentic hardware does fade and tarnish with time. They no longer make bags with brass hardware like back in the day.
Agreed. Also side note the LV bags with the pattern at the seams matching, being authentic, is a myth too with todays LV purses.

I have what I thought was a vintage horse bit bag and everything you said seems authentic except my leather tag is sewn all the way around with no serial number. Also the bag is lined with a nice thick black material with the Gucci printed into the fabric, not blue like I am seeing here online. Are all bags lined in blue, my bag seemed so legit. The brass is wearing a bit and the zippers only have GUCCI on the pulls, not the underside of the zipper. I inherited the bag and there is no paper work or dust cover
Maam my new Dionysus wallet on chain from gucci's site had no controllato paper. Do you think this is cause for concern or someone at the factory just failed to do it? Ive heard of people
returning fakes to gucci stores and SAs not checking them and having those circulate on the market without them knowing but I imagine its hard to do this at the online store. Any insight would be appreciated!

Hi, I just bought this gucci ophidia shoulder bag. Today is 10/25/2022, and received it. This version gucci only put the serial number at the bottom inside of the bag. No gucci tag sewn on the inside of the top of the bag. Just a note here.
The QR code. How did you get it to say where it came from?? Mine only shows the number when I scan it.

The only thing my fake Gucci doesn't have is a serial number, otherwise, you can't tell the difference, the bag was a nice grab at the flee market, it was around 30 Swiss Francs (30 USD)
What is the E code mean in the QR TAG
The easiest way to find if your bag is real or fake is the style number. It’s not a serial number. It’s a style number on top, manufacturer code on bottom. Serial numbers are specific to each bag. Fake bags also have fake style numbers so you have to have trained eyes to spot it. QR codes are post 2016 so bags beforehand will not have these. Hardware is also a good indicator.
another authenticator showed 2 GGs on the base of the lock button. i bought mine from a legit store, but it has not got these initials. Help!! paid 2 grand!

All fakes are not alike. I’ve seen some fakes that look identical to the real. Heavy, golden bronze color hardware and all. How do they do it! Smh
