Instantly bought this. As others have said, it immediately reminded me of old school 3D DS graphics, so this is super cool to me as someone who grew up playing a DS. Also love the color palette and premise. Edit: Been playing it for awhile now and, gotta say, it's been an absolute joy. There's surprisingly a lot to explore in this game, and it's so much fun to do. Would highly recommend it :) Edit 2: Just finished 100%'ing it. What a great game, man. Again, highly recommend it. But I think most people would get somewhere around 4 hours out of it, maybe even less depending on whether you’re really bent on exploring. There’s a lot to explore and find, though. This delightful game can be "finished" in like 30 minutes, or you can explore hours at your own pace. Every time I play, I find something new, and I've beat it like 4 times now. It's a little masterpiece and I wish there were more games like it. :)

To anyone wondering if they should get this, I just wanna say that this game was an absolute joy to play. The low resolution is an optional setting that can be adjusted as you see fit, the story is charming and sentimental towards the end of the game, every character feels unique and full of personality, and overall, the exploration is really engaging and rewarding.
For anyone even slightly interested in buying this - do! I went in completely blind and this isn't even my usual type of game but it was so good. Chilled, responsive, with satisfying controls, funny, delightful, unique. A true fulfilling experience. My only complaint is that it lives up to its name. It really is a short hike. You'll breeze through this and want more. I dont even want to delete it even though I'm done.. You won't regret it
I read some interviews. This is one guy who knew his threshold. Even though he could’ve done more, his health (and probably financial situation) was more important than that. Maybe with the success of this game, we could get a sequel or another project. I’m excited to see what comes next.

Anybody considering this game I truly do recommend it. The story is rather short but there is so much exploring to do anything from hidden treasures (behind the house, mountains etc), mini quests by gathering stuff, playing a mini game, flying/gliding is so much fun and most of all do talk to everyone, the game is really wholesome and totally worth those 6-7 dollars especially because this game runs SILKY SMOOTH which improves the experience so freaking much. I wish many devs would prioritise optimization like these did, it truly is a HUGE plus to experience itself. :)

Just picked up the game,here is a little summary,the game is great,the dialogue is great,and if you dknt like how pixelated the game is you can change it whenever you want to a high resolution,phenomenal game and quicly becoming one of my favorites(in my opinion I think it's more relaxing than animale crossing lol)
Honestly I played it for like 5 minutes and thought "Kinda boring. Probably gonna just play something else" but then I started doing these little quests the characters give you and just chilling with the peaceful music and I thought it was kind of therapeutic almost. Like I was too busy trying to run around and see what there is to find to think about anything else. There's no map so you just kind of run around and you could miss a ton of things if you just try to go on the actual trail you need to follow.
Bought it an hour and a half ago and just finished it. Less than a movie ticket and ten times more fulfilling. Please play it.
