I like the werehog because he's actually fun to play as, He has wrestling moves and fights like a hulk( A shortstack furry werehog hulk) by literally flinging and beating his enemies around like their just bags of potatoes, his platforming is nice and different due to his strechy arms mechanic ... when it doesnt drag on forever and finally see sonic in a different light if he loses his speed in exchange for strengh while on the other hand I dont like sonic with a sword because its just that...sonic with a talking sword... not much changes other than swinging the sword like theres a bee around and a weapon that talks crap...atleast its better than omochao

Since "Secret Rings" were revolved around the "Arabian Nights" and "Black Knight" with "Knights of The Round Table"; I've always wondered what was the third one gonna be about if they continued? What do you all think?

UZXCrimsonAvenger There was a poll a few years ago where they asked fans which storybook game theme they would prefer for a third game and Myths and Legends ended up winning so that would have likely been the third storybook game if the series had continued but in the end, it was not meant to be.

I really hate that Jason Griffith's only great performance was in his LAST game before Colors! Okay he was good in Unleashed too...
Paintamaster2000 he started to sound good in 06 but then in secret rings he was okay then in unleashed he blew us all with his performance
Paintamaster2000 And pretty much every other game after 06. Brawl, Zero Gravity, Rivals 2, Secret Rings. All good performances IMO.
Jayden Yugi That's fine, it's just that I feel like his performance in Black Knight had the professional level of subtlety and range that he never had in his previous performances as Sonic. ESPECIALLY during that last speech at the end of the game. I just couldn't believe that was the same voice actor who did that ABYSMAL voice for Usopp in the 4Kids dub of One Piece for instance (though that could be also partially due to poor direction of the recording studio).
Paintamaster2000 Yep. It's due to improvement in voice direction too as well as natural voice evolution. Almost every voice actor goes through it. What I meant to say is that IMO his improvement as Sonic started with Secret Rings and every game that followed was always a continuous improvement in his voice which led to him giving his best performance in Black Knight.That's why he sounded amazing in that game as well as Unleashed. In an interview, he mentioned that the directors wanted him to make Sonic sound more mature and cooler. By the time, he had already had a grasp and confidence in voicing Sonic so he was able to naturally inject the inner-coolness of the character in Black Knight. Compare his Sonic voice in Unleashed and the storybook games to the way he sounded in the first episode of Sonic X and you'll notice a huge difference. His voice evolved greatly. It went from sounding cartoony to sounding more cooler, collected and properly fleshed out with a great sense of energy. That's why I consider every performance after 06 as good or great even though Black Knight was definitely his best.

I hope we get another storybook game. Similar art style, but ditch it's gameplay for something else. Maybe open world?

I think an open world storybook game makes a lot of sense. Sure, being on rails "takes you for a ride" like when you read a story...
But on the other hand, you also feel immersed and "into" a book. Another way to portray this captivation could be to explore these places like in open world, like your mind pictures the inside and outside of things as it reads.

I always liked how Sonic and Excalibur actually had chemistry with each other. Instead of Shara being a basic guide with a sudden twist (and a very annoying personality to be honest) these two had a strong bond, so when something went awry with them, it felt more to the heart.

This is probably my favourite implementation of fantastic foreshadowing that I can recall. Its something that you don't think about until later, when it hits you at full force. Not to mention the fantastic slow remix of With Me.

I need to give you props for actually playing this "sin" style correctly. I've seen tons of other people sin clever jokes or even increase the sin counter when complimenting something. Tjese videos are much better made, with a little humour of their own.

pro tip about knighthood, Sir is the tittle, it actually has nothing to do with gender. When we refer to Sir Patrick Stewart, we just reference the tittle that Identify's him as a Knight. Same with Sir Percival in Sonic and the Black Knight.
Sonic's characterization was perfect in this game.

I'd just like to point out that in the cutscene at the start of the game"king Arthur" is riding a horse that starts flying. Even though the horse is flying, the clapping sound is still there even though hes not on the ground. Plus one more sin?

Sonic 1-3 and knuckles, sonic adventure 1 and 2, heroes, shadow the hedgehog, (06 didnt happen) unleashed aka best game ever, colors, generations, and forces.
There i dont really know where the story book series fits in neither lost world, but since blaze is in generations rush is canon as well but i dont know where in the timeline it goes in. Speaking of blaze, she hasent been playable since the rush series have you noticed that?

addition to sin 10, it also SURE AS HELL beats Secret Rings control scheme by far doesn’t it?
The storybook games were a very smart way for SEGA to try to revitalize the series. A huge complaint in each game was that Sonic moved so fast, he glitched through everything. Tell me you found a level skip in Black Knight, and I will doubt you for eternity. It's so on-rails, they could perfect every inch of terrain. Sadly, they were too confident that it would raise the bar, that they became lazy. Secret Rings wasn't helped by it's announcement of being a Wii launch title, and Black Knight wasn't helped by the anniversary. People need to give them a break, at least, you can say they're not glitchy as hell.

Do you mean the xbox or ps version? Because the wii version has a different ‘noooooo!’ when Sonic falls into a bottomless pit (believe me, I’d know. It took me 5 months to get past the first stage of Eggmanland)

Gotta say, My first game was Sonic Rush from the franchise and got The Black Knight for my Wii as a present from my mother, and I really loved it ( even i tried to get most of the stages as little time as possible )
But man, I am sad that Blaze had been ignored ever since Sonic 06 ( and she debuted a year early, mostly the Sonic Team changed her origina in less than a year )

the 2nd king Arthur boss fight can be done with ease if you time it right you can use the soul gauge and time the attacks and you can win the boss fight instantly because it doesn't stop until you run out and when you use soul gauge for timed attacked it refills the gauge thus making the boss simple for when you get the first hit
If merlina is was going to make the kingdom eternal was there really a point to her summoning sonic

The story book Sonic games would be even better if the controls and how you move got changed to something better. If consoles and computers got a port of them, the controls and even the graphics would pretty much be guaranteed to improve.

While I can't say how she found out about Sonic (also him being an antro means nothing the knights of the round table are antros as well) and just Like Erazor in the last game got him to her world so she can use him to fulfill her plans (sonic after all is really strong and she probably also found out that Sonic if good hearted enough to pull the sword out of the stone).
And Sonic is king because who ever can pull the sword out of the stone will become the king of England so Sonic has the right Character traits to pull Caliburn out of the stone and is so king.
