Awesome, the brothers karamazov is my favourite book ever. Agree with your don’t judge a book by it’s cover take haha, all my Tolstoy and Dostoevsky books are beautifully bound with great cover art

Oh I enjoyed this, it feels natural and not contrived which is how I prefer my ASMR. Your voice is very soothing, I just subscribed.

Loved the soft speaking! I’m a sucker for visual triggers too, so the tracing on the covers was amazing 🤩

Love these types of asmr vids! It almost has a "nostalgic" feeling to it? Idk how to describe it but it's very comforting.

I read Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance when I was about 19 and I remember liking it and not finding it too difficult to read. A lot of the philosophy stuff might have gone over my head at the time but a few things have stuck with me and I’m 39 now. I recommend it and reckon it might be time for me to revisit it!

I like those Everyman editions, because the paper is really nice and smooth. They feel quite nice. I haven't read Brothers but I'd like to. I had a Tolstoy moment during the pandemic and read the two biggies, and they were definitely life changing. I enjoyed War and Peace more than AK, but if like to re read AK some time. I'm still not over Pierre. I still think about those characters. At moments when life had been hard, I've thought about that book. It has power. In the way it says such fundamental things about human existence. OK, anyway, lovely video. Thank you!

I still need to read War and Peace, but it's so intimidating...

@@asmrscipio I understand. If definitely is. But once you get going you get so immersed in it that you don't want to stop.

I liked Gyo and Tomie better, but that’s just preference. Uzumaki was intriguing though. And his story collections are good too. Especially shiver and smashed.

Hello. New arrival to your channel. Love your content. I might suggest a minor correction. Seamus Heaney was an esteemed Irish poet, writer, academician. Well, born in Northern Ireland, but a much-loved citizen of our country. Having said that, I am intrigued by beowulf, so will have to read, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. Next time I listen to this video, I may sleep, but for this view I was very interested in what you had to say about your book selection. 😊

Thank you for the correction and your kind words. It was a 50/50 between Wales and Ireland, should have checked!
