    Hi Dr. Suman.
Just found your channel and living the content. I wish I knew this 10 years ago!! I have only just started investing and saving.
Can I invest in Indian mutual funds as a UK citizen with OCI? What are the barriers and things I should know about?
    Thanks

If you have PAN and KYC in India and a NRI bank account then you can easily invest through most major fund houses through their individual websites.i have used HDFC, Franklin, parag parikh, Birla sunlife , mirage assets- they all allow NRI investment.

Hello Dr Suman .Dr Aman here . I am a junior doctor ready to start my new job in the uk soon next month and have been following your content for while now . Kudos !! Absolutely love your insight on investing in India . I would really like to know how you operate / transfer money from uk account to indian account for equity market investments ? My stock broker zerodha suggested me to get a NRO ( non PIS) account . Should I get my Indian bank converted to NRO / NRE ACCOUNT before I arrive on uk ? Please advise !!)) Wishing you luck for your TH-cam channel and best wishes going your way ! Cheers .

Hello Aman, I would advise to convert your Indian account to NRO/NRE.you might have to wait till you settle in UK as they will ask for address proof and residence permit.you can open the NRI account from UK online..it helps a lot to manage your funds and avoid tax deduction. NRO account will do all the jobs that savings account does including Zerodha transfers. You can also invest in some Mutual funds from NRE Account- which is really helpful.Best wishes for your new job.money transfer from UK to Indian NRE/NRO account is quite easy through wise or remitly.

Are you interested in FIRE? or at least fi?? I am a junior bengali doctor from kolkata heading towards uk .
I am quite content living a minimalist life and am also interested in FI or financial freedom as it was introduced to me by my father. Very pleased to see your website.
I actually started an SIP during last few months of internship in Indian mutual funds. But now all that is on hold as I am working towars building uk cv and clearing plabs.

I am interested and striving towards financial independence.I am fascinated by the concept of working without the need for earning money to pay off bills, mortgage etc, if I have other income streams.Best wishes for your future.

Congrats on your channel hope it grows.
It requires strength and courage to start one's own channel. Kudos.
Btw do you feel that amoung doctors there is too much of a tendency to keep up with joneses?
      I mean lifestyle creep??

      Thanks for the wishes.
Answer to the second question- it's difficult to single out doctors as a group, probably it's a reflection of social dynamics that is prevalent today.

You are eligible to apply but you will probably struggle to get selected if it a competitive post.
