My parallel parking is very inconsistent, sometimes I get it, sometimes I don’t. I have the technique & steps in my head, but I hesitate too much. Watched this video and it really cleared up some doubts I had! I’ll let y’all know if I pass when I take my driver’s test :) Update: Took my test today, and I parked perfectly for the parallel parking portion - overall, I passed my test!!! This video is a life-saver!
@@jonnkil Same Diana, I need more practice with that as well, but I can manage! Good luck, I’m sure you’ll do great! :) after all, 3rd time’s the charm!
Now this video is the real deal after watching it over and over I passed my driving test the same day I suggest it to everyone one who's having a hard time passing it follow these steps And you'll do just fine GOOD LUCK 🤞👍...
Did horrible today with my parallel parking...first time ever doing it and the instructor was not too pleasant with me....Hopefully after watching this video a few times I will get the hang of it...Thank you for this video...Looking forward to watching more driving videos if you have any
I have never commented on parallel parking technics videos here on TH-cam even after watching hundreds of them taught by so called ( best driving instructors) . This video is the best by far comparing to the technics on the entire TH-cam channels.if you do everything seen here you'll never fall your parallel test . This is the legit. Believe me.
You never said anything about when your supposed to straighten out the steering wheel and then to back up until your headlights are even with car or pole your parking behind
This is the best video- no lengthy explanation and every point is right on! I followed these steps, and I was able to do a perfect parallel parking at first attempt when I practiced at my local DPS. Such a life saver!!!
Thank you for your kind comment and for all the viewers for watching. This is exactly the reason that I made this video to help learn a relatively quick method to do parallel parking.
I take my re-test tommorow and this is one of the two things I am most worried about. My parallel parking for my last test was pretty terrible, and my 90° back-in was as well. (That being the second thing I am worried about) I truly believe I have learned enough from my other little mistakes, but these two things are my biggest concerns. I have practiced and watched multiple videos, but this video in particular will be the one I replay in my head during the test. Should I pass, I plan on comming back here immediately and thanking you. EDIT: I passed three hours ago and honestly couldn't have done it without this video. Thank you so much ❤
I have my road test on April 12th I used this technique today at my adult driving school test I did awful but hopefully I get it down this time. Wish me luck.
How do you know your 45 degrees? Whats the viewpoint of the driver when they see the cone? Like is the cone in a specific spot i should know when im 45°?
That is a good question. If we start at being parallel to the curb and then back while turning and then stop at the half way point from having the curb completely to the back of the car.
@@manarabdelaal1559 You are right. When I say ‘half way’ I mean, if one continues going back with the wheels turned, the car will be at right angle to the curb. ‘ half way’ will be between being parallel to the curb and being at right angle or 90 degrees to the curb. You will get it by trial and error. I hope It is more clear now.
I’ll let y’all know if this helped me pass my drivers test, so far my parallel parking has been a bit inconsistent but I’m hoping this will help me out :)
Failed immediately doing parallel parking, practiced for the first time never learned parallel parking because there aren’t many parallel parking where I live, the only one they had was at my high school, but the thing is, it was the drivers side, when I went to the actual test I was doing it from the passenger side, which was a bit harder, the first thing they had me do was parallel park, I had 3 attempts and failed miserably, but when I did it at the high school I did it really well, I had to reschedule my next appointment, they failed me immediately
No so hot. Establish 30 to 45 degree angle relative to the curb Before backing into the space. Also you can Not see when the front of your vehicle is even with the rear of the parked car. - - Hard right on the wheel - Use passenger side mirror to establish the 45 degree angle to the curb - Straighten the wheel, back up really slow . . . until -WHEN the passenger side mirror is directly in line with the parked car's left taillight and your eyeball ( there will likely be NO car behind you for reference, new drivers are nervous enough) - Turn the wheel hard left, roll back very slowly, watching the curb in the passenger's side mirror (so You Do Not smack the curb) Not close enough to the curb, repeat the process to get closer OR FURTHER FROM THE CURB. Use feed back from both mirrors, Good luck. Practice until you do not get it wrong. . . . The Right Stuff confidence factor.

Using the right side mirror to determine the angle of 45 degrees was what helped me get it consistently.

Practice with a pole like thing or a pole first before you do a car because it’s way different
How far away are the poles from each other?
About 25 to 26 feet
