@mohamad ikram i do it all the time. Its easy if you dont rev bomb to alert drivers. They respond to the horn alot better. When you rev bomb youre taking power away from the rear wheel. If you hit your horn and let off the throttle you barely need your front brake at all.
It's kind of hard to slow down in corners on a bike you can't use the front brake or it can slam your handlebars to one side and launch you over the front of the bike. He might have been using his rear. On bikes 70% of stopping power is in the front brake.

i felt so bad for that guy in the car, he was shaken up and couldn't say a damn thing. Always these people out there that try to F up your day in legal but unnecessary ways.
3:30 if this guy had have just rolled off the throttle and braked he wouldn't have low-sided like that. I get that he's got the right of way, but engaging your clutch to rev bomb takes all the compression off your suspension and means he's always going to drop the bike when he goes to brake.... except because he rev bombed it took longer for him to even BEGIN braking. The right of way issue may have been the "cause" of this crash, but sending all blame outward is a great way to learn nothing from an incident like that, and assume you did nothing wrong.
MATTG has the right of way against traffic coming straight through the light because he is on a flashing green. That car turning right has the right of way against oncoming traffic (MattG) turning left however. Traffic turning left into an intersection must always yield the right of way to traffic already in the intersection.

@@bob-nz4hr Nope. Right of way isn’t that cut and dry. Many rear-end fender benders take place from people not yielding to right of way. If it’s found that the person in back could have avoided impact “which he could have”, he may indeed find himself/insurance liable. In fact, the person colliding is almost always found liable in rear end collisions, regardless of right of way.
Revbombing doesn't work, the people in the car can't hear you until you're either right next to it, or right in front of it and by then it's already too late. I know because I've seen it happen first hand while in a car. Cars have interiors that are designed to keep road noise out. That coupled with music being played in a car makes it almost impossible to hear a bike even with a loud exhaust, until that is, they're right next to the driver. By then, it's already too late.
People are stupid lol. There's a reason they put the horn on the front and make it a high pitch noise. If you think people hear you rev bomb then you're admitting you're totally unobservant on the road to the point of never noticing that you can barely hear a loud exhaust behind you if at all.

Man... More of us riders need to be aware of the (maritime law, but should be applied everywhere) Law Of Gross Tonnage. The larger vehicle (or vessel rather) always maintains right-of-way. A lot of lives (or rather, motorcycles) could have been saved by simply yielding to that which can crush you...
Gross Tonnage equals one hundred miles per hour and Net Tonnage is the same but expressed in kilometres per hour. Other examples of Gross Tonnage are the Rocket III, and the Diavel.
You could simplify it to this simple phrase: "What good is being right if you're dead?" I absolutely agree with you. Highway code right of way is a suggestion on what *should* happen, but reality never follows ideal road theory. Being a good driver (and by extension rider) means knowing how to deal with a bad situation and mitigate risk as much as possible. If it means letting a car cut you off and breaking in good time vs revbombing and possibly crashing (like Matt G did), you should always take the former. Ride safe

He didn't have the right of way. That car was already making the turn and was there before MATTG entered the intersection. Traffic turning left ALWAYS has to yield to other traffic already in the intersection.

However, all vehicles turning left must yield to vehicles or persons that are in already in the intersection. That car was making it's turn when the rider entered the intersection. If you get into an accident turning left at any intersection you are automatically at fault. Try it sometime and you will see what I mean.

3:30 if this guy had have just rolled off the throttle and braked he wouldn't have low-sided like that. I get that he's got the right of way, but engaging your clutch to rev bomb takes all the compression off your suspension and means he's always going to drop the bike when he goes to brake.... except because he rev bombed it took longer for him to even BEGIN braking.
The right of way issue may have been the "cause" of this crash, but sending all blame outward is a great way to learn nothing from an incident like that, and assume you did nothing wrong.

MATTG has the right of way against traffic coming straight through the light because he is on a flashing green. That car turning right has the right of way against oncoming traffic (MattG) turning left however. Traffic turning left into an intersection must always yield the right of way to traffic already in the intersection.

If it’s found that the person in back could have avoided impact “which he could have”, he may indeed find himself/insurance liable. In fact, the person colliding is almost always found liable in rear end collisions, regardless of right of way.

Why would anyone play chicken with a bike against a car??? Car wins every time.
Revbombing doesn't work, the people in the car can't hear you until you're either right next to it, or right in front of it and by then it's already too late. I know because I've seen it happen first hand while in a car. Cars have interiors that are designed to keep road noise out. That coupled with music being played in a car makes it almost impossible to hear a bike even with a loud exhaust, until that is, they're right next to the driver. By then, it's already too late.
People are stupid lol. There's a reason they put the horn on the front and make it a high pitch noise.
If you think people hear you rev bomb then you're admitting you're totally unobservant on the road to the point of never noticing that you can barely hear a loud exhaust behind you if at all.

I absolutely agree with you. Highway code right of way is a suggestion on what *should* happen, but reality never follows ideal road theory. Being a good driver (and by extension rider) means knowing how to deal with a bad situation and mitigate risk as much as possible. If it means letting a car cut you off and breaking in good time vs revbombing and possibly crashing (like Matt G did), you should always take the former. Ride safe

He didn't have the right of way. That car was already making the turn and was there before MATTG entered the intersection. Traffic turning left ALWAYS has to yield to other traffic already in the intersection.

@@bob-nz4hr You should read up on traffic laws and right of way. The advance green light only provides right of way against oncoming traffic coming through the intersection(they have a red). However, all vehicles turning left must yield to vehicles or persons that are in already in the intersection. That car was making it's turn when the rider entered the intersection. If you get into an accident turning left at any intersection you are automatically at fault. Try it sometime and you will see what I mean.
