Layton is my favorite fragance. it’s easy to wear, smell amazing and it last more than 10 hours on me. I highly recommend it you won’t regret at all. I’m very impressed how it projects.

I finally made the switch to buying some really good ones I been missing out on cause I didn't spend much more than Sauvage by Dior. So I will order my first Perfumes De Marly. So I'm really trying to get a take on reviewers. Keeping in mind I live in Florida so the heat is almost high and humidity is up there. I've smelled Carlisle and Layton, the pretty much flagship scents and I really was shocked at the level it was better than anything else I ever smelt, other than Royal Oud. But thank you, love these from you Sir.

Great video brother. I’m glad you addressed the no Akaster & Sedley issue from the jump. If you are a rose & a PMD lover it is down right criminal that you don’t own Akaster. I slept on it for a while then I listen to you & Kevin on New York Oud. I had to double back & go to my favorite house of PMD to smell what their take on rose/Oud is. Masterpiece IMO. Akaster just had the bad luck of being released with Carlisle. It’s too 5 in my PMD collection & I own all you discussed plus Sedley. Now another major flow in your top 10. The elephant in the room. Brother where is Layton Exclusif???? The best of the best. The MVP. House champion. The big dog himself. It took me a while to grab because of the size difference but I broke down & got it last month. Man!! I sold it Sunday cause i found out the 4.2 came out & I bought it Saturday night. Lastly, Godolphin. Godolphin gets no respect. It smells like what people say Tucson Leather smells like. Pure cocaine. I have not always been saved brother. Got Layton, Pegasus and Oajan. And bought Carlisle yesterday, haven’t arrived yet. Layton is I guess my favorite also because you can wear it everyday all year. But my favorite fall / winter is Oajan. Carlisle is very close second fall / winter haha 👌🏻😂 Pegasus is also great but least favorite of the four 9,5/10. The rest 11/10 if that’s possible 😜

Bro, you've got a really accurate nose! I also get a little bit of Oajan and a little bit of Herod from Habdan and I like the scent quite a bit. But my issue with it is its relatively weak performance. On me, it lasts considerably shorter than other PdMs. Is it the same for you?
@@BowTieFragranceGuy Yes, Habdan's performance and longevity are a far cry from those of their beast mode stuff like Carlisle, Herod, Layton, and others. I do love the scent of Habdan but I'm still debating on getting a full bottle because of it.

I paid 300$ Canadian for Layton, what i get is a fantastic opening, then its gone 2 hours later right down to a vanilla skin scent..Little to no projection or sillage..SUPER unfortunate for the price tag it commands. 2019 Batch from Fragrancebuy. The inconsistencies are all over the place with Layton, you can read all about it on the basenotes forums. It seems like the 2016 Layton was the one to seek out and hang onto - batch after that has poor performance and just turns into vanilla.
I got Layton off of the hype. I really don't see why its so popular. It performs pretty good, but the scent is alright, nothing special. I only have 2 niche fragrances(Aventis clone, Alt Fragrances, and Layton), so maybe my pallet is not up 2 par with the big reviewers.

PdM is a good starting point o a frag journey but when you go up in niche you get better quality at a similar price elsewhere. IMO.

I get subpar performance with habdan too. It’s such a good scent. But I also get average performance with Herod too
