What an absolutely wonderful mindful meditation. The birdsong and woodland creatures, including the bees were an absolute delight to watch. I live in the countryside and had a deer visit the garden for a daily apple and nuts a few years ago - until a neighbouring garden cut back all the foliage and left her route exposed and I never saw her again. I was devastated. I only discovered your channel this week and I'm so glad I did, especially as you're living proof that one needs not take a life in nature to survive in harmony alongside it. I'm vegetarian too.
Great video Steve. I found that very relaxing perfect after the year we’ve all been through. I’m a big fan of dividing up kit. Food looked delicious. Thanks for sharing. Chris
Nice video, appreciate all the effort you put into making it including all the magical bird songs. Makes me miss not being able to travel home to Scotland during these unusual times. Your video in many ways is the next best thing! Going to watch it again. Cheers :)
Great video bud, your a lucky man to be able to spend the time you do in the woods. I do make as often as I can, but that is not as often as I would like. Still, watching your videos is very enjoyable and informative too. Keep up the good work. Big thumbs up.
Thanks. I seem to spend all my time (when not working) in the woods! You do learn so much by just experiencing it. It would be nice to get further a field. Thanks for watching. Steve.
The woods are alive with birdsong now Steve. I'll have to get out for another camp myself. Loved the shots of the deer. Good to get the kit sorted out like you have too. Sandy
What a great way to end the week -- so glad to see you back in your woods, which are looking lush. That simple tent-peg pot stand is something I've known about and forgotten several times over the years, lol. Thanks for the reminder.
It still shocks me how a empty glade can suddenly show so much signs of life by late spring, the wood is truly lush at the moment. Thanks for watching. Steve.
Loved that film ! Most of the small woods are now in private hands where I live although you are allowed to skirt round them. Its for shooting as they have bird bins full of seed. Nice to see your woods again, keep the videos coming thru the summer...
Yes there seems to be a land grab for woodlands. One good thing is that it's heavily regulated at the moment, you need felling licences to take any tree down. Hopefully they will be managed for the better. Lots of woodland need managing. Not good when they are managed for game though In my opinion. Thanks for watching. Steve.
Hi Simon. I'm good thanks, hope you are too. Just taking a break, my camera had a break too! I need a new one. Hopefully back soon. I'm still busy in the woods and just stated fishing after a 30 year break. Thanks, Steve.
@@craftywildcamps good to hear you’re okay Steve. I saw on Instagram you were fishing! Your content is so good that we can just revisit the videos and they still have the same effect. Hope the wood is treating you well! My best, Simon.
Always fantastic to see a video upload from you Steve. Another really perfectly shot video. Incredibly relaxing. Feels like there’s only you and me who wild cook without meat or fish. Is your Rab bag down or synthetic? Love every aspect of the video 👍
Thanks Simon. There is a lot of steak videos about! The Rab sleeping bag is down, Rab do claim to be use the Responsible Down Standards, so I hope they are collected ethically?
@@craftywildcamps thanks for replying Steve. There really are too many meat camping videos. But they seem to love dogs so all must be okay 🤦🏼♂️ p.s. great to see the names of the the species in your videos - learning a lot. Oh, and I’ve added paprika to my lightweight set up 😂
Missed these vids...hope the back is better (or was it the knees?) Is that wild garlic with the white flowing head on? I only ask as I have what I think is the same in a planter in my back yard.
Cheers Ian. Hope you're well. Yes my backs good now, had a bump in the car which stiffened it up for a while. Yes that's wild Carlisle (ransoms) they are passed their best now, but a good edible.
Thank you, Steve. Great video as usual. 👍🙂🍅🧅🥦🥬🥕

Nice to see you out , good system for your gear I wish I was as organised & you can’t beat a bivvy camp all the best Mick
My problem is I keep forgetting things, so having in them permanently in one bag I can grab it and shove it I'm my main bag. Cheers, Steve.
