Any chance to use our favorite passtime to inform and inspire is greatly appreciated, and I am grateful to have learned more from this series. Thank you, CJ. ... also: beware invoking the Pinoys. The moment they hear anything about themselves, they'll start coming out of the wood work in droves! ... ah crap. Too late.
The deities and pantheon is such a neat idea! Trying to get your little god more powerful or injected into a pantheon is similar to what I did in my first DnD 5e campaign, so it's cool to see it here. What countries are left to be reimagined for Kara Tur?
8:22- Yeah, to be honest, they could also use it as a staging point for Kara-Tur Adventure like a multi-national Faerunian colony ala Manilla, where you can buy transit or get contracts.
Love binging this playlist, Southeast asian themes should have been explored more as like Ayutthaya, Taungoo, Cambodia (Angkor and Longvek Eras), Laos, the Philippines , Malaya, Borneo and Vietnam. Many were formidable military, economic , and naval powers.
I'm not Indonesian, Yeah I would love to have a setting with Island Kingdom that cover the thematical of South East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, Southern Thailand and Singapore), Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. Where the water adventure is prominent and a lot of sea theme subclass. I try do some digging, Bawa location in Toril is nearby equator not far from Malatra region.
Okay I like this a lot I might just put this in my own Homebrew world I'm making one of and right now I am struggling to put an Indian or anything Indian
I may not be Indonesian but I am always interested in how a fantasy based version of Indonesia would look like since I'm a Malaysian and our cultures are so similar we might as well be siblings.
In Indian Hinduism there is also a Supreme Being, similar (from what you have said) to Acintya, who is called Brahman. All other deities are interpretations of/ways to reach Brahman, and there is a part of Brahman in everyone called Atman, which can be translated as 'soul'
This series should be a source book. I’d buy it.

This is good, I was sceptical at first but this is a great setting
Thanks, i am an indonesian and this is good
I think it might be called "Indian Islands" because they border the Indian Ocean, not because they were literally just India but islands.
CJ is a traveling man of mystery

I would love some d&d filipino inspired content too!

Do have any information on Thailand to do adventures that would make kara_tur great with gods or heroes from Thailand to create characters.

are you ever going to update the channeler class with more phantasms?
