They should bring this back with Arabian writers on the writing team ofc. I want to be a warlock who made a deal with a djinn so bad lol.

Good point, would also broaden D&D appeal in the Arab world by using culturally appropriate writers, not that non-arabs can't learn their pre-islamic mythologies just as good, but it would be nice to have them be presented/implemented in a appealing way for different arabic societies so they would view it's inclusion positively and not token pandering.

The 2E Forgotten Realms book (not to be confused with the 2E FR box set) shows many of them. What was shown in the video concerning the Faerun gods is straight out of that book.

I am new to D&D. I like watching the lore videos to learn more about the game. It is interesting stuff. This video mentions Ajami. It is a foreign god or wizard or something. I noticed something. That name reminds me of Ajani, who is a lion character in Magic the Gathering. I guess the description of foregn does apply to this guy. Ajani has a special magical ability to travel among multiple universes. So he would be extremely foregn to the people of other universes. I think furries might like Ajani.

If your're still checking in 3 years later... al-Qadim/Zakhara was originally designed as its own setting, with the option of including it in the FR if you wanted to. But the cosmology was written as if it were its own world.
