@@Vladdamyre So true. I was once lucky enough to watch them play live in Spain while standing with Nigel Godrich. It was the first time he had heard some of the songs live, that he later produced on the album Hail to the Thief. He was concerned about how dense some of the new songs were and how challenging they would be to mix and produce. Then they played Talk Show Host and the contrast in density, space in the arrangement and simplicity of the song was so clear, compared to the newer stuff, we couldn't help but smile. Every time I hear it, it makes me chuckle remembering that conversation and how concerned he was about what to do with some of the newer songs.

Hello from the UK, I'm still here! From the same Radiohead album - "Exit Music" & "Lucky". Both very different in the atmosphere they create. I'm loving what you are doing on this channel, thank you.
As someone who's pretty well versed in popular music from the past 70 years, Radiohead are basically the Beatles of the modern era. Not as culturally relevant or influential -- but musically as skilled, innovative and just able to make moving pop songs that sound nothing like pop.
Pretty much the same here. That's why I smiled so much with the intro of Invincible. I swear that guitar could have been on any Radiohead song and fit perfectly...

Hey mate, Paranoid Android is the natural progression from here. You won’t get many requests for The Drones but you should seriously check them out for a pallet cleanse “I See Seaweed” is a monster of a song with a wall of sound you should check out! Great work!
I've been listening to this album since it was released...almost 25 years ago(!!), and came away from your reaction with a renewed appreciation for the production. Thank you for the gift of your knowledge! As an aside, and inspired by your t-shirt, would you ever consider doing a video about The Doors? Really interested to know what a composer appreciates and hears in them.
I remember the first time I heard this song. I was in college and downloading random mp3's. this was pre Napster, so you really just had to take what you could get. I was digesting as much music as I could, as I was a vocal performance and music theory major, who came from a small town where the only music on the radio was classic rock and country. I heard this song and was blown away. I played it for my more worldly friends later and they were like, yeah that's Radiohead. I asked if the rest of their music was this good? They told me this song came from probably the greatest album of the decade(90's), Ok Computer. I immediately bought the album, and every other album before or since.
OK: Computer is considered one of the most influential album the last 25 years! With their "The Bends" it made a switch in their sound from more punkish "Pablo Honey", where they started to play with odd harmonics and songstructures. Hard to find any favourites but love "Subterrean homesick alien" and "The tourist"
All I can say is I do hope you delve into the RADIOHEAD wormhole..... You will not be disappointed. Radiohead is famous for their slightly untuned sound. Please X10000000 do more FOR A MINUTE THERE I LOST MYSELF
I'd love to see more Radiohead! I'd consider myself on the milder side of the genre, but considering the channel, I think the following would be interesting: "Paranoid Android" "National Anthem" (maybe not) "2 + 2 = 5" "A Punch Up at a Wedding" "Exit Music (For a Film)" (quieter start, but picks up at the end for an emotionally breath-taking ark) "Climbing up the Walls" (and more, of course)
The entire album of A Moon Shaped Pool is amazing in terms of production quality and composition. It's their most recent album, and they still make amazing music.

Love your analysis of one of my favourite songs. My one suggestion, and this goes for all “reaction” vids is to not stop the tune for deconstruction- let it play and then do the autopsy.
Such a great song. So glad you did this. I'm one of those people that has been requesting bands like Between the Buried and Me, but I also love songs like this. I'm Still Here. MORE RADIOHEAD please!!! "Where I end and You Begin", "Weird Fishes", "Codex", "National Anthem", "Decks Dark". Hell, maybe the whole discography?
Weird fishes is such a jammm
Geebz inspired me to start a new series on my channel - bridging mindfulness and music reviews. First one I did was for Weird Fishes :D th-cam.com/video/XOCkmCX0kNs/w-d-xo.html
As a metal/prog rock fan, I’ll say that, for me, Radiohead is literally the greatest band of my lifetime!!! Their entire discography is worth many listens 😎
Is absolutely a defining album. Is one of a few albums that necessitate a start to finish listen. A sonic masterpiece. Whenever I hear Kama Police I can't help but think of Fitter Happier, I believe these two songs belong together. Cheers
Indeed, the building distortion of Karma Police flows directly into Fitter Happier on the album. This is also an album best listened to in order
@@peterleventis Absolutely. Airbag is my personal favourite. Really sets the mood of the album.
Yeah OK Computer is 'sort of' a 'concept album', and I'm not sure if he even realizes that the 'strange noise' at the end is there to sort of BLEND into the next track?!
Exit Music and The National Anthem are the ones that I would recommend for future videos. Lots of interesting stuff going on in both songs.
Pyramid Song and / or Paranoid Android are definitely up there in terms of songs I'd love to see you talk about! Great video as always.
Hello from the UK, I'm still here!
From the same Radiohead album - "Exit Music" & "Lucky". Both very different in the atmosphere they create.
I'm loving what you are doing on this channel, thank you.
Glad you're enjoying the dive into Radiohead. It doesn't get much better! Would have to recommend 'Reckoner' or 'Lucky' :)
As someone who's pretty well versed in popular music from the past 70 years, Radiohead are basically the Beatles of the modern era. Not as culturally relevant or influential -- but musically as skilled, innovative and just able to make moving pop songs that sound nothing like pop.
Jigsaw Falling Into Place is an absolute MUST. Would be such a great song to watch you de-compose!!
I'm still here!
Thanks for doing Radiohead again! Keep 'em coming!
Still here!
Yes!!! My favorite band along withTool! More Radiohead please!
Radiohead in there prime!! Love it man, anything 90s is great as you know.
Still here! Everything in Its Right Place by Radiohead
Great reaction! Love the song 🥰👏🏼👋🏼👍🏼🙌🏼💜🇨🇦
I would love to see you react to Kate Bush, David Bowie, The Smiths, Joy Division - the greats of England
Tool and Radiohead are my two huge 💘. Danke sir.
Pretty much the same here. That's why I smiled so much with the intro of Invincible. I swear that guitar could have been on any Radiohead song and fit perfectly...
same here!
@@timothygiles3737 exactly I always thought that haha one would assume it's not very likely but I've seen many people say that
Radiohead has a lot of great songs. I’ve always loved the vibe of Street Spirit (Fade Out)
I'm still here. Radiohead have so much amazing music to explore. I suggest:
Weird fishes
How to dissapear completely
Let down
Subterranean homesick alien
Airbag
Paranoid Android
Pyramid song

Reckoner
The national anthem
Fake plastic trees
Street spirit

Paranoid Android is a great one to do by Radiohead. The song takes you on a journey..
still here baby!! More Radiohead!! No request but you should definitely hear more of OK Computer before diving into Kid A!
P.S Live in The Basement is mindblowing to me- it is one of my favorite Radiohead rabbit holes.
God that ending still gets me after all these years. For a minute there, I lost myself.
Phew
Hey mate, Paranoid Android is the natural progression from here. You won’t get many requests for The Drones but you should seriously check them out for a pallet cleanse “I See Seaweed” is a monster of a song with a wall of sound you should check out! Great work!
i got to say you the only reaction channel i watch all along no skip. as a musicien writter videomaker. much respect sir !
Ok Computer is one of the greatest albums I have ever heard. Can listen to it front to back and not skip any of the songs.
Very happy you’re heading down the Radiohead rabbit hole!
My song suggestion, Artist: The Mars Volta; Song: Viscera Eyes
OK: Computer is considered one of the most influential album the last 25 years! With their "The Bends" it made a switch in their sound from more punkish "Pablo Honey", where they started to play with odd harmonics and songstructures. Hard to find any favourites but love "Subterrean homesick alien" and "The tourist"
I'm still here. I always look forward to these videos, thank you so much!
All I can say is I do hope you delve into the RADIOHEAD wormhole..... You will not be disappointed. Radiohead is famous for their slightly untuned sound.
Please X10000000 do more
FOR A MINUTE THERE I LOST MYSELF
Sup bro, you know I'm still here, love the Radiohead decomposing, had suggested "Street Spirit"
"for a minute there, I lost myself"
I'd love to see more Radiohead! I'd consider myself on the milder side of the genre, but considering the channel, I think the following would be interesting:
"Paranoid Android"
"National Anthem" (maybe not)
"2 + 2 = 5"
"A Punch Up at a Wedding"
"Exit Music (For a Film)" (quieter start, but picks up at the end for an emotionally breath-taking ark)
"Climbing up the Walls"
(and more, of course)
The entire album of A Moon Shaped Pool is amazing in terms of production quality and composition. It's their most recent album, and they still make amazing music.
True!
Yes! As predicted the classics are requested, but he should really give this album a listen. Maybe Decks Dark...
@@kykk3365 Decks dark is my favourite song ever. I love it completely. I want it at my funeral so it's the last piece of music I'm surrounded by before I go in the hole lol.
Magnificent album...
@@amandah5478 decks dark is my fav Radiohead song also
I loved your closed eye at the end of the video. I had one eye open too.
Great song, "Creep" is my favorite.
Street spirit my favorite Radiohead
Anything off THE BENDS and high is more acoustic , guitar driven
Fascinating to me that you felt it was like waking from a dream - when the song is based on a dream Thom Yorke had (well a nightmare) and the guidance he was given on how to deal with the feeling it left him with. You total nailed that. Great video. Thanks man (and sorry for being late to the party!)
“Fake Plastic Trees” is a must listen by them
Echoing lots of others about Pyramid Song, but I also think "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi" is a tune by them that you'd love deconstructing.
Geebz inspired me to start a new series on my channel - essentially bridging mindfulness and music reviews. First one I did was for Weird Fishes :D th-cam.com/video/XOCkmCX0kNs/w-d-xo.html
Love Radiohead's The Tourist too. Paranoid Android is classic also. And, I'm still here!
I'm still here. Please keep doing radiohead (as you said you would, I know). SOO much to dig into with this band.
I'm here early for once, yay! Great song. Gonna suggest Clutch again, whenever you get to it! Still here!
Binge and Purge!!!
Wow!!! I love how this man explains the rich intensity of the layers of the sublime music of radiohead. Radiohead is a very rare breed. Probably the rarest most purist breed of all bands and this song Karma Police is probably the best song ever written in music history! I don't say that lightly or flippantly! I have heard every great great song and nobody takes you to the places this song takes you. Very very interesting how he emotionally absorbs the music with such soulful passion. You have an amazing skill like a pure artist covering the white canvas with genius pastels. Thankyou for sharing this - you are truly inspirational.
A lot of stuff from the In Rainbows album has excellent engineering. You should try 15 step
You're just awesome man, can't thank you enough for your videos. An amazing window into the music I am passionate about in an honest and candid way that I can understand without being a composer myself. Thank you!
If I had my wish, I'd have you react to "Weird Fishes (Arpeggi)." It's my favorite Radiohead song of all time.
Geebz inspired me to start a new series on my channel - essentially bridging mindfulness and music reviews. First one I did was for Weird Fishes :D th-cam.com/video/XOCkmCX0kNs/w-d-xo.html
Still here. Love your musical journey and your perspective! I listened SO much to Radiohead as a kid, especially this OK Computer album. As you delve deeper you'll notice how they evolve and delve deeper as well, just wonderful stuff!
If you have ever seen this live, Ed O'Brien takes an already great song to another level.. Magnificent
I hope you do more sort of chill, alternative rock songs like this.
And yes, I'm still here.
Please do smashing pumpkins, incredible mix, huge lush guitars, anything off Siamese dream, preferably Hummer or Mayonaise!
Soma
@@davidchinko the most emotionally expressive solo of all time tha'
the trippy ending to karma police sets up the next song on the album Fitter Happier.
Still here... would love to see you take on some Jeff Buckley... specifically Mojo Pin.
Love your analysis of one of my favourite songs. My one suggestion, and this goes for all “reaction” vids is to not stop the tune for deconstruction- let it play and then do the autopsy.
I´m still here!
PD: May I suggest "The Daily Mail" by Radiohead?
OK Computer is just pure gold. Johnnys tone sounds straight out of another dimension.
Aloha! Just putting in another request for Steven Wilson - Drive Home.
...and Routine!
2nd best solo ever after Guthrie's Regret #9! The song is hugely enhanced by the amazing video too
Such a great song. So glad you did this. I'm one of those people that has been requesting bands like Between the Buried and Me, but I also love songs like this. But then again I also love shit from straight 3 chord, 2 minute punk songs, the most complex technical death metal. As far as making a request for your channel, I think Clutch would be a great band for you to dive into. GREAT blues/rock/alternative band.
