As someone who saw Mideon work as Tex Slasenger in the dark matches, there is a very good reason why he failed. They had him come to the ring to Dusty Rhodes WWF theme. So there was a huge pope, and then boos/total silence when they saw it was Mideon and not Dusty.

Backstage politics (aka Triple H and Stephanie, who started seeing each other while Hunter was still with Chyna) had as much to do with Chyna leaving as her being forced into the Women''s division.
A woman being "forced" into the Women's division? Really?
@@TTJJCC Chyna was regularly wrestling against men before being put in the women's division, so she likely saw that move as a demotion.

The longer I watched WWE the more I realized Vince was and is an absolute idiot who was just equal parts ruthless, heartless, and lucky.
Yeah, he had no idea what he was doing. That's how he built the only billion dollar wrestling company in history....pure luck. 😂

Luna Vachon deserved better. She tried her best but WWE often mistreated her in favor for women who can't wrestle like Sable. So I can see why she was frustrated and pissed off. And then give her a spot in some damn Legacy Wing in the 2019 HOF. I mean, what the hell is a Legacy Wing? Yet, they put Torrie Wilson (another woman who can't wrestle) into the main HOF.
True Luna could actually work and made the others look good.

Bart was my favorite of the Smokin’ Gunns. Shame he was punished the way he was. I also don’t understand the heat that X-Pac got from fans. He was one of my favorite & one of the most talented superstars on the roster.
Sad how Chyna got treated. From shooting star to being dumped right into the trash heap. Her life would have turned out very differently if she hadn't gotten tossed away.

Ahmed Johnson was who got me into watching wrestling. I loved watching him and his fued with the Nation of Domination.
Apart from that entry, most of this list was a bit depressing.
Ahmed Johnsons career is depressing. Also, him get slapped around backstage by Ron Simmons 😆
I remember Jericho’s splash off the top with that hockey gear onto Shamrock. I thought he was really bleeding internally.
How could anyone forget how the Public Enemy’s career ended? Sure they might have had a few more matches but their days were numbered once the Acolytes got to them.
I love Bruce Prichard's take on that saying that Public Enemy tried to change the ending of the match right before walking out and Ron Simmons famously said, "Damn, if they won't go to the tables, we'll just bring the tables to them"
During that match with Simmons/Bradshaw Public Enemy quite literally had looks of ‘PLEASE GOD HELP US!’ while getting the ever loving snot kicked out of them.

It’s insane that XPac or even the 123 Kid persona never made a return to the company in any capacity, as a surprise Royal Rumble admission or anything. Considering he’s one of the greatest cruiser weights/ highfliers ever and can still go, has kept himself in great shape, it’s a real shame.
Doesn't help he had Hepatitis C until just last year or so
He contracted hep c in 2009 and wasn't clear of it til 2020, before that he was still struggling with addiction.
He was a WRECK by the mid 2000s and was probably shunned for many years for putting out that sex tape with Chyna
Vader deserved better. Man was one of the best heels in history.
I still remember when Amad Johnson first came out at the end of Raw. Everyone was like "Damn, that dudes a beast!!" 😂

Chyna never got that most guys don't want to end their wrestling careers by being booked to lose to her.
Remember when Sable bodyslammed Mark Mero that was it for him
Sable powerbombed Marc Mero too......also a lot of guys have gone on to say that Chyna actually being able to beat a man in a fight was a joke, she wasn't actually at that level, so many of them hated the idea of doing the job to her.

Funniest thing is, Gangrel was said to be drinking and spewing "a mysterious red, viscous liquid" during that era, because even TV-14 didn't extend to a vampire drinking blood. The guy's got fucking fangs. But when he douses his opponents with gallons of it, it's "yeah, that's a bloodbath. That's fine"...

Heat in late 1999 & 2000 was such a guilty pleasure. I still remember a lot of the Heat specific feuds like Godfather vs Gangrel around the Millennium

Darren Drozdov aka Droz. Wrestling-wise, his career during the Attitude Era ended in a dark match against D'Lo Brown. And I guess you can say that the Brawl for All also ended the WWE careers of Brakkus and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams.
Droz wasn't injured during a dark match, the reason its not on peacock is because Smack Down was taped so they cut it out.

1:18, Nah Gangrel appeared in Smackdown 2002/2003? to team up with Viscera to take on Undertaker in a handicap match.

JR has stated on his podcast that Chyna wanted and requested 'Stone Cold money'.
It is an absolutely horrible look for a company to punish one of their employees for doing exactly what they were told to do and being too successful at it. If that happened in practically any other business, one would have a legal case over workplace retaliation against that business.
Yet, it still happened during recent times with several stars getting over that Vince didn't want.
He didn't follow the script when he knocked out Dr. Death the guy booked to win. Besides he was terrible. He couldn't talk, couldn't act, and was shit in the ring.
It was a horrible idea from the outset. Bart Gunn won but he still had the personality of a stump and was coming off of being the other Smoking Gunn and then his prior gimmick was the forgettable new Midnight Express with Bob Holly. They had nothing for him.
I think I might be in love with Adam Wilbourn. And I'm a bloke.
His narration is always entertaining, humorous, and better still he doesn't pander to any Yankee garble like some do as they commentate online vids, he keeps all his English witticisms & dialect intact. Might even go as far as to say I'm a fan of his!
Should have kept Gangrel just for his entrance music... best ever

WWF Metal... I feel like that's more forgotten than Jakked, Shotgun, or 205
'It is wild to look back on Raw or Smackdown tapings now and see fans going bonkers for Gangrel vs. Al Snow' ... I wasn't too sure where you were going with this and if it was leading towards slagging off these two wrestlers. Still isn't completely clear... but those were two proper wrestlers whose match would always be worth a watch. Sunday Night Heat had loads of these kinda set ups and the show was always much more entertaining than Raw or Smackdown. Plus, why is Snow a bellend? End of the day, I think we all wish the Attitude Era was back.

By the time Ken Shamrock went to Pride F/C to make a mma comeback. He was clearly damaged goods. He almost had a heart attack in the middle of the ring. By the time he fought Tito Ortiz clearly his age caught up to him.
Chyna was blacklisted from everything. She was gonna be in Terminator 3, and have her own Wonder Woman movie.
I miss attitude era so much pure entertainment
I feel like Randy Orton will be on this list eventually.
Kinda hard to do since Randy Orton was never in the Attitude Era.

D Lo never recovered from hurting Droz and When your whole act is that stupid catch phrase and they brought in a ton of more talent, it’s less easy to get over when all you have is a catch phrase

Road Dogg was fired for marijuana use. Me and my friends always found that hysterical since in the DX VHS tape that was put out a few years before that they show a segment that implies X-Pac is clambaking a sound booth

You needed subtitles to understand most of what Ahmed Johnson was ever saying. But couldn't cut a promo and after that kidney shot by Farooq Assad he couldn't really work again.
I perfer ECW wwe needs to bring it back as the original ECW hardcore wrestling not even the softcore version of ECW and bring it back as no rules of ECW that's was it's like that back in the early 90's when tod Gordon was the original owner of ECW way before Paul Heyman took it over eastern championship wrestling aka known for extreme championship wrestling in the early 90's
ECW is the most overrated company ever and was never the top 3 promotions. ECW never made money and most guys never got payed. And if Vince didn't give Heyman a loan the would have died in 96. RVD is the only ECW guy who ever really made it.
