Like have him be this grizzled, badass, take-no-sh!t type that's a mix of the updated gimmick & the original one. I can actually answer the Anderson Yankees hat deal. Back in the day CBS owned part of the Yankees Baseball Franchise. So regardless of your region, if you were able to get CBS on your Television, the only Major League Baseball you were going to see was the Yankees. Considering the Twins(Minneapolis' baseball team) wasn't founded until Arn was about 3, i'm willing to bet if he in fact was a baseball fan growing up he was a Yankees fan. There are a lot of people around the area(my grandfather included and we lived on the Wisconsin side) that were Yankees fans because thats all they ever saw on TV.

Taker's facial hair was never a conscious thing for his image. It was just Taker changing his look at home, for his own jollies. I do it too. Change it up once in a while.
