It is incredibly rare to see not just the spellbinding technical ability, but the stunning and quite precocious wisdom that goes into the dance pieces that work with, and express, very profound ideas about humanity, identity, self-discovery and such. The fact that he self-choreographed many of his dance pieces is phenomenal, considering the end results. Remarkable talent and really stood out throughout the competition.
Even in the heats I wanted him to win. His connection with the audience, makes you feel like you are up there with him. His face and body tell a story and the emotion, he really makes you feel what he wants you to feel. Such a deserved winner!! 💪💪
So good that he got the wild card:) so pleased for him not that he just won but his amazing talent is seen and recognised .... he truly is that giving and humble. .. he really didn't expect to win, I think it helped him relax :)
They all had talent, but the connection was missing with the other dancers. He has talent oozing from him, not only in dance, style, but his presence and connection is unreal. A true talent and a really nice lad.
This guy is amazing. I have not really been into dance but was flicking through the channels and watched Max's first dance and was blown away!. I just new he would win. I thought he couldn't top his first dance then I watched this. His interpretation of movement to music is incredible. He deserves to be a huge star. Have to complement him on his choice of music. This is the first time I have heard In This Shirt and have fell in love with it. Finally, it's not everyday that you get moved...thank you Max.
I'm the same with this song. I'd never have found it if it wasn't for Max and this dance. Totally moved. This is what happens when music and dance go hand in hand! You could have heard a pin drop in our house. Deserved winner!

Liza.... agree with all of that he so became that character and I would have actually been surprised if he didn't get the nod... I've now seen some of the others and though they had heaps of talent it was more about self with them , max is mature in that ego has a balanced place even in a comp. Shows Alternative / (home education ) has many worths I feel ;)

I watched this live on the TV and couldn't believe how good this lad is. I have no interest in dancing etc but this is brilliant.

Flicking though the tv saw this lad dancing absolutely amazing and the other dancers aswell loved the soundtrack and so glad max won.
