I have been suffering for a couple years now with dry eye to the point it hurts to open my eyes some mornings. Local eye docs aren't very knowledgeable about dry eyes, so your information is very helpful. I'm going to check into a couple of the products you've suggested. I do the dry eye drops and warm compresses, but I need more relief. Thank you so much!

Great job working through TFOS in this video. Also the vitamin A bit - this is a frequent question I have received. I will use vitamin A gel for extreme corneal damage, such as post chemical burns etc. But otherwise I am in the same boat, I try to avoid it until we know more.

Hi Dr D. Thank you for all your videos on eye health and eye issues.
Would you recommend using an antibiotic ointment on the eyelid for blepharitis?

There actually was a study done on castor oil in eye drops that found that castor oil exerts cytotoxic effects on conjunctival cells. From the study summary: "Compared to the four other oils, castor oil was shown to induce significant necrosis and P2X7 cell death receptor and caspase 3 activation and to enhance intracellular reactive oxygen species production."
It's why I stopped using it on my lashes. Have you found these risks to be negligible? It is a pretty old study (2007) and I don't think there have been an excessive amount of cases of cell death in eye patients, so it's probably not a huge risk?

What if you can’t do warm compresses due to Rosacea. Heat makes my eyes 100% worse
