  • A drive around Alice Springs Central Australia. - unedited real time file. Driving with caravan in tow from the north and making a anti clockwise run around the main section of Alice Springs and ending up at the service station we passed earlier in the video to replenish the fuel after the long 1200 or so kilometre stretch from Katherine to use on the next 1200 or so kilometres to Port Augusta

    It is so strange that I have the opportunity to watch this video from Argentina
    Internet is just awesome!!
    That road OCD is giving me anxiety

      Yes I suppose towns in Argentina are a bit different to 'the Alice'. Haven't figured out what OCD means as yet.

      @@reidgck Not really where I live, In Patagonia they are actually pretty same. Search for "Patagonia Argentina", really beautiful place!

      reidgck - I think he means that he feels compelled to drive on the right side of the road (like we do in America). The OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) is probably a joke.

      Don't ever bring your family to Alice Springs...you would be wanting a security escort because of the problems of crime, avoid the NT all together.

    Thank you for the interesting drive around Alice Springs! 😊👍 I really appreciate it when people record the natural sounds around an area instead of music. I even had to chuckle when I heard you cute sounding little doggie putting in his opinion 😉🌸

    I spent the last half of year 1986 in this city, completing my year 11 in Alice Springs High School. I stayed in 25th Memorial Avenue, just two minutes walk from the school. The city was nice and I still love to live there, if given oppurtunity. 😊

      The east coast used to be great but a bit too busy and congested now. Probably be better after this virus fiasco but I think we are in for hyperinflation by the looks of the bank and other bailouts and bankruptcies and so forth

      To be honest I would like a world where no animals are murdered for food, the more people who don't buy meat, the less animals will be killed for no reason. Watch the movie earthlings...

    • @reidgck
      @reidgck  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@le_epic_bodhi4004 The animals used for food are mostly bred for the purpose and wouldn't have existed if not for that. Nevertheless countless thousands are killed by road traffic each year. Thousands of kangaroos are made mince meat of by roadtrains each year. The worst place for this I have seen is in the Longreach - Winton area in Queensland. Dead kangaroos were in piles at some location in various stages of decomposition. Quite sad and amazing. But a great percentage of human beings don't have feelings for such even though human beings are the highest on the animal chain and are the only species blessed with ultimate reason, intellect and will to highest degree by which development is possible; problem is that reason, intellect and will are used often to destroy rather than be directed for the common good. They, unlike animals often use their intellect and will to abort their conceived children and there are reportedly 100,000 abortions or more in Australia each year while in the U.S., there have been some 60 million since 1973. They will never be born as we had the right to be born, to appreciate as we do, the wonders of creation which include animals and other fellow humans

    Wheres the closest beach?

    • @reidgck
      @reidgck  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Would be about 900kms to the Gulf of Carpentaria in a straight line, and about 900 kms in a straight line to the Great Australian Bight. Generally though, The best beaches are in the south to the west of Port Augusta. By the highway distances are a lot further to popular beaches than 900 kms. Darwin in the North is about 1500 kms while Port Augusta at the top of St Vincents Gulf in the south is about 1200 kms
