What a coincidence. I was just watching Gary Moore rip up his version of Hey Joe with Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell and I then switch to Subscriptions and the first thing that pops up Nik doing this great lesson. Awesome.
Still one of his best songs. Something about the rhythm in the verses is just magical. Love his early tones on this album. The solo is pure fire as well. I'm checking out a vintage Cry Baby Sepulveda tomorrow because of your help. I'm really excited!
The walk up always reminded me of when i was a kid In Pentecostal church everyone gets possessed by the Holy Ghost & that run is like that bass line that the guy is playing the entire time while everyone is running around crazy. I heard someone else mention this also on TH-cam somewhere. Cool that I’m not the only one that thought that
I think to myself…. Jimi never sat back and constructed who he was, he did his thing and so happens it brought the world together. You have this quality my friend.
