    As soon as I saw the opening still of this upload I was smiling, Straight back to my childhood ! The vid did not disappoint me (very well done by the way) as these babies looked like the real thing, like the blue one for me as I think that was the one mostly used in the films and stuck in my mind. They are not cheap but for something that looked that good they would not be. never owned a bb gun before, but will make an exception for this beauty ! thanks for the upload Rack !

    each co2 cartridge should be lubed with a single drop of Pellgun oil at the tip where the co2 cartridge fits against the gasket. other oils are not suitable. this keeps the gasket ALIVE. this is in the instructions that us 'Girly-guys' will read. (smile pardner)
    excellent camera work !

      Late reply l know BUT DO NOT PUT PELGUN OIL ON THE CO2 BULB NIPPLE IT CONTAINS PETROL WHICH DRIES OUT THE SEAL IN DOUBLE QUICK TIME.
      Instead use silicone oil or wax, PELGUN oil should NEVER HAVE BEEN RECCOMENDED.

    I watched probably hundred of reviews for peacemaker but your sounds most sincere and from the heart, it's just what I needed cause im planning on getting finally my first airsoft gun (I'm new to all this, it's sad to know that I have more experience with real deal than expensive toys) so as a newbie my question would be will this gun fill my expectations ? I'm a sucker for westerns of course but I need proper shooter with looks :)

    Awesome!! Review RACNLOAD I happen to own the exact same BB Pistol only in blued version. Although we have different laws and customs with guns here in the U.S. we both do agree on how this Colt single action Army BB gun is really cool and so great in feel and history in the hand. I am now a new subscriber thanks for the great review and video.

    The nickel would look better with the walnut look grips if you swapped them.
    The added bonus being the blued peacemaker would then have ivory look grips - just like the Duke's six gun. Check out John Wayne movies Rio Bravo, Eldorado & Rio Lobo :) :) :)

    The grip is what I love on the real guns. These Umarex guns have an awful grip shape that spoils their looks and feel in the hand. Wish they could have designed it better. I know it was done that way because of the large CO2 container in the grip.

    • @biggusdickus5986
      @biggusdickus5986 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep the grips are more in the style of the old black powder cap n ball Colts but like you say they were made this way to house the co2 bulb, and yes the much smller handle on the real. Pecemaker gave it a better look and the feel certainly different, but for me the grips are too small they must have haad tiny hands in those days.
      I have XLarge hands so the bigger grips are better for me, but again the aesthetics of the real guns are more pleasing

    Well, I'm out 200 pounds cos of your enthusiastic explanation of these guns!! I've got mine (blued version) today, and i LOVE it!! It looks even better in person!!! I have a real revolver, S&W Chiefs special, but this Colt is cool, cos i can shoot it in my basement! Of course there is no recoil like with my S&W, but i don't have to drive to the range whenever i want to blaze away! lol!!! Umarex should pay you ratios for each gun they sell!!!!! looking forward for your next rewiew! ;-)

    It’s the grip not handle. Lovely guns but somewhat ruined by ugly white trade marks re bounding hammer design and safety catch. Fanning the hammer will wear the cheep internals out in no time.

    I got one. The pellet version. Looks great. The grips could have looked like the original colt' s black plastic grips instead of trying to imitate wood.... What is your opinion about its accuracy? For I am not an obsessive airgunner, just bought it out of my love for colts and westerns... Why do you think the frame is supported by some small screws instead of the big ones that hold the original? Think that has to do with better sealing for the airgun.....

  • @kekanakrebina

    It’s a great all around pistol th-cam.com/users/postUgkxnX9wE_Q8zvF75Y5iWzTU3Q4FlrtyGApQ , doesn’t fit in plastic glock 19 holsters but will fit in some non plastic ones. The location of the safety isn’t very good because your finger will accidentally activate it but it can easily be removed by pulling on both sides at once. Don’t lose the red o-rings while doing that.

    Better buy them all :D
    Minor on the well-worn version as you name it, is that some parts of the gun don't have the same finish on it like the other parts of the gun (so the barrel, cartridge gate and hammer will be more black in comparison to the frame, for example) .
    This will result in different shades of black on the well-worn verion...
    however you will get more worn effects on the gun if you are going to use it often.

    • @No1sonuk
      @No1sonuk 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Zentasu There is an official Umarex 6mm version in Nickel only, IIRC, but a few retailers sell guns they advertise as "custom converted". This is possible - I've done it myself.
      Be careful, though. Despite web site claims, NONE of the Umarex SAAs have any form of hop up, and I'm not sure the conversions do either.
      Mine DOES have a fixed R-hop, but that's a lot more work to do than the simple barrel replacement I believe the retailer custom guns have.
      For example, making the special forcing cone that holds the barrel upright, and machining the special inner barrel with hop window, then fitting the R-hop patch takes about 2-3 hours with my tools (lathe and mill required).
      A simple barrel replacement and modifying the original forcing cone would take about half an hour at most, and can be done with just a lathe..

      +KILLERINSIDE 117 If you have the tools and the expertise, you can convert it to fire 6mm airsoft BBs. I have done this.
      You need to replace the inner barrel with a specially-machined piece of airsoft inner barrel. Then you need to either make a new forcing cone, or drill the original.
      I made an entirely new barrel and forcing cone assembly and included a fixed R-hop. I get 40m+ dead straight firing 0.30g BBs with 0.20g equivalent muzzle velocity of 300 fps, using modified 6mm Dan Wesson powerdown shells.
      The shell modification involved replacing the restrictor in the shell with one that has a slightly larger hole.
      The gun will chamber and function with unmodified Dan Wesson shells.

    I got this John Wayne gun and the Umarex Colt Single Action Army 45 .177 Pellet Nickel Air Pistol. They are the same gun just different logo on grip. But I don’t understand that one says it’s for shooting bbs and the other pellets. I shoot both on both guns and it works great. Put it in the shell and shoot. It’s all the same size. It’s for a .177. Correct?

      The barrel is smaller and slimmer than the real thing, the real things barrel ending looks enormous, whereas the umarex looks too narrow, but still beautiful.

    Don't want to break your bubble but the cartridges do not last a long time ;).
    They become damaged, like in scratched on, and will turn from that beautiful brass color(gold) to a black color...

      I have not personally come across this. I have been firing my gun for a while now and i clean the cartridges after each use. The only way they would get black is if you fail to clean and polish the brass cartridges.

      @No1sonuk 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Notesial Dan Wesson revolver shells fit and function too, though you get slightly lower muzzle velocity due to the BB being sited at the front of the shell.
