- Our battery mysteriously died right as we got our van onto the Greek island of Tinos, hundreds of miles from the closest hardware store. To be honest this is a pretty typical van life day in the life for us, there's always a little problem here or there, and with a little patience there's almost always a solution. We're so grateful we got a rusty old van and did the van conversion ourselves because there's so much you get to learn every single day with a 40 year old machine : )

Would you two ever be open to discussing your van life budget, cost of living month to month and a breakdown of some of your trips? I don't see this discussed a lot and for me it would be a really practical thing to know for my future planning. Thank you (: I love your videos and beautiful edits.

I get so emotional when I watch your videos... you just emanate so much kindness towards each other and the world...
This is exactly why I have monitors and displays that tell me everything about my electrical system at all times. I have monitors for solar power being generated, monitors for charge current to the batteries, and a monitor for battery voltage and current going into the inverter/accessories. All in all the monitors were less than $40 and are always visible everywhere in the van.
Everytime they make their morning oats...there is more and more blackstrap molasses! 😁

Hey guys, when it comes to the fridge it needs to be able to breathe out of the back.. the catch is the van heats up so the fridges is literally in an oven and trying to cool the inside pumping more heat out into the van from the condenser.

It's been a nice adventure watching you young people adventure from place to place. I notice in every video that Dana has a magnetic positive attitude... always finding the sunny side of the all that comes calling. Have fun!!!

@RM no, but I know Samos is a calm island with wonderful beaches, good food , and it is not so much touristic compared to other greek destinations.
@RM yes try to search on google like "unknown Samos", this way you will see the authentic side of the island. Netherlands, I've been there beautiful country!

Every time you use the drone, I am amazed at the footage. Has to make filming your hikes so much easier. The Greek Island of Tinos looked amazing...happy the solar panels did their job... can't help but reflect on how much you both have learned about cars, solar, electricity, living in tiny spaces and living creatively....what a journey ...thankful that you lets us get a glimpse of your life each week!

As someone who’s dedicated to experiencing the van life in the future, I really appreciate you showing the difficulties you face and your approach to solving things. So calm and positive. You both inspire me everyday.
I was thinking about how I would make money when I pursue this lifestyle. If you see this, I personally would love to see a little “work routine” sort of video. It may be too personal and don’t mind this if it is, but it would really help not only me but I’m sure lots of your viewers that want to join van life. Money seems to be my biggest concern as I’m not the best at saving. Peace and love to you guys ❤️

I, who can do little more than change a flat tire was totally fascinated by every new episode in the van conversion saga, felt incredible peace and inspiration throughout the Inktober series, and have been cooking cleaner meals from your example.
