  • @LairdScooby
    @LairdScooby 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    That's the instrument dimmer and it's real burr walnut veneer on aluminium bases. The gutters around the boot are rotten, you'll need to fix them. Add 0.5L of Carlube ATF-U to the engine oil, it will sort those hydraulic tappets. The front wings are Coupe ONLY, rear brakes need a specific method to replace the pads or the calipers WILL sieze!
    Sills were, maybe still are available through the 800 club, the bonnet is standard Mk2 800 and if you wawnt to change it for a Mk1 bonet you'll also need Mk1 headlights to fit the grille.
    Sounds like your clutch slave is dead, common problem!
    Good luck with it, having owned an 827 Coupe for 5 years, i can see you'll need it!

    They were a lovely drive - not too many cars were as comfy - the Peugeot 406 gave it a run for its money. Reliability of the 2 were similar (i.E a bit crap..) but I like both cars just for their sheer comfort. The sills on these are an absolute doddle to rebuild - the shape is so simple, as are the jacking points - neither would bother me a bit.

All of them did 2 - 300,000 miles, all were driven appropriately(corporate clients don't like racing drivers), and all blew their head gaskets at some point. All were diagnosed correctly by my workshop and fixed without any serious damage done, but they were know for it throughout the trade. I believe the smaller/later models were different story. You didn't post the price or say the price on the video. But you told the world your moving it on for sale..a bit of a lesson for you..catch them while they hot. Move it out the door.. go find another one..or you will get a bad name.. so I ask you now. How much would you like for the car..thanks have a good night..
