    That HelloTalk app is literally the best thing ever. I have been trying to teach myself Korean for the LONGEST TIME, and all I got out of my self-teaching was the alphabet, and some basic phrases. But I just downloaded the app and already I'm being connected with people who are teaching me Korean.

    I'm using hello talk 😍 I even got to know a really nice Korean girl there and we are friends now 😊 she even sent me presents for my birthday 😱😍
    I highly recommend the hello talk app, it's really useful.
    My favorite feature is that you can correct your partner's sentences so they directly see what they did wrong and how it's supposed to be.
    Another pretty cool app is 'learn korean', it's only available for android though 😭 you can record yourself saying sentences in Korean and the app will rate your pronunciation and accent.
    As for grammar, I'd recommend the 'poppopping Korean - conversation' app.
    It's really cute, it's like a cartoon. First there is a dialogue (with subs and other features where you can read everything slowly), then multiple choice questions and then you can record yourself answering a question with the grammar featured in the chapter.

    • @SillyLilly2208
      @SillyLilly2208 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      For total beginners who are struggling with Hangul, I highly recommend 'poppopping Korean - pronunciation'.
      You can learn the alphabet, how the letters are pronounced (with animations showing how to move your mouth) and even how to form blocks. Where what kind of letter has to be in a block, how the pronunciation changes depending on how the letters are paired. EVERYTHING you need to know about Hangul! 👏🏼👏🏼

    • @karlabojic8872
      @karlabojic8872 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Oli Pop Thanks, this was very useful since I really want to learn korean :) And I'm wondering is there an option is HelloTalk where I can be 'the teacher'? Like, help somebody with their english?

    • @SillyLilly2208
      @SillyLilly2208 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Karla Boojic yeah, when You sign up you have to set your native language and the language you want to learn. Then you get matched up with people whose native language is the one you want to learn and who are learning your native language. Then you can teach them if they want to know anything 😊 you can add me: unicorn23

    HelloTalk is amazing. I've only used it for about 3 weeks and my Korean is so much better in grammar/vocab and in pronunciation. Not only is there a translating option, but you can also call them in the app too. Most Koreans understand and can speak basic English. HelloTalk is by far the best program I've used for learning Korean

    I love the jihachul app! It is my best friend for the times when I am visiting Seoul! I also use Kakao every day! It is a great way to stay connected to my Korean friends even though I have moved back to the states!

    Coupon apps are actually gaining popularity in the US as well! When I worked as a cashier for Kmart people would use coupons right on their phone and I would scan them! It was really cool!

    I loved the 지하철 app! It was sooo handy and the fact that it worked without internet was the biggest plus! And of course kakao, is amazing. It has helped me and my bf (who is in Korea) to keep in touch everyday with ease.^^
