I think what my personal problem with using tier lists for teambuilding is that I always have this need to make a team with mons that are A tier and above. Nothing wrong with that but I have to remind myself that sometimes it’s one or two mons in the “b tier” that fill the niche you need.
Having Sneasler as C tier is CRAZY!! It can outspeed and 1 shot everything in the meta game with 1 SD and there aren't many good fighting types around. Flying tera is very good as well. Also, its not like it's hard fitting it on a team, it works very well with psy spam because of the fighting stab and you've put Villa and Indeedee up there as like A tier pokemon which are also perfect partners. I got to top 15 on PS later with it before I stopped and currently 14-3 in b03
It's pretty decent! Unburden and fighting coveragd not too bad. But its pretty niche on some teams. The tournament results arent super amazing but it does have some results. That's why I put it on the C tier. We don't consider ladder. We base it off of tournament play.
I run a Sneasler with grassy seed and more defense EVs than usual. Dark tera, Lash out, CC, SD, and Dire Claw. It's absolutely DIRTY and can be surprisingly physically tanky. The grassy terrain helps protect us from EQ. If I can get an Aurora veil up it's GG.
Thanks for the reminder. This was a niche strat before since Chien-Pao + Dnite was more consistent, but now that Chien-Pao is no longer a thing, this strat could shine.

I’ve been testing calm mind H-Braviary with esper wing and I gotta say it gets pretty out of hand if done right. Tinted lens is such an underrated ability… I do need to ask does Tera boost moves that are under base 60? I Rmr talk about that cause air cutter could be a thing with Tera flying

Teching a Lilikoal team with Hisuian Liligant, even without clicking eruption she deals dumb damage with Close Combat and Solar Blade. Farigiraf for priority protection and Primarina for the Fire/Water/Grass core. Also taking Ceruledge and Gholdengo for damage. Ceruledge also loving Torkoal
I’d definitely do Muddy Water over Surf unless you’re also running Gastrodon, don’t really wanna chip my own teammates, you could also do Tera Flying or Stellar Tera

Metagross isn't that bad I'm going to give it a go it would be an excellent switch in for Glowking chilly reception with weakness policy just like Calyrex Ice was. Hammer arm for Incineroar knockoff for Gholdengo and psychic fangs for amoongus it's actually perfect coverage. Last move is gravity for my Lapras sing shenanigans. 🙈

I have to admit I disagree heavily with Dozo being placed so high. It feels like there’s a lot to stop it at the moment and despite it being strong in reg A, a lot of people have figured out the counterplay to it now and I just don’t see it being that good in a format dominated by rain and MausApe.
Look at the tournament results. It's winning tours and many more topping even high. Even with thr haze stuff it's still doing well. It commands the meta and forces you to bring something during teambuilding. That respect alone makes it high. I wouldn't put it lower than A tier.
In the future, maybe you could just not display the lower than C tier mons or somehow put them below the list of mons you’re discussing? Just a thought so you don’t have to scroll so much lol

Electabuzz does what ita supposed to do - redirect sleep stuff and be a bulky redirector. That's a niche option. Thus, C tier. I can't see it being higher than that
i think dondozo is A, the absence of legendaries and paradox hurt it, and with dlc many hazers have come to be viable, prim and decidueye being some new options. We only had palafin and murkrow back then

Bold take but honestly. incin is a bit overrated. Incin has so much counterplay in this gen and many of the best mons don't even care if theyre intimidated. Hell a lot want to be (gambit, ape, etc) Its still good, but Rilla has replaced it as the most splashable mon in the game. Unless your running psyspam you can always justify adding rilla to your team. Even if that means doubling on your grass types
As long as you have fake out and parting shot with taunt/will o wisp Incin will always be king. It did very well with restricteds and will continue to do so
@@CloverBells I get where your coming from. But like we saw in worlds it wasn't the top mon anymore. With the changes to abilities, better defiant users, clear amulet and covert cloak, and many of the best mons being special attackers the value incin provides this gen isn't quite as high as swsh or sun/moon. Its still great don't get me wrong, but the damage output, terrain, and ability to soak damage makes rilla #1 for me. Plus I think rilla is a better user of tera then incin, but thats just personal. This could change in double restricted formats btw. Maybe that's where incin reclaims the #1 spot.
@Joeybanananas It's still very important with amoongus as a standard defensive back bone. The defiant stuff and clear amulet make it a little harder but you'll still find it in top 5 usage even now.

Infernape Blaze ability Focus sash item Fake out Taunt Close combat Over heat Basically what I do is I fake out pretty much any other fake out user because it's so damn fast. Set trick room. I pray for somebody to knock me down to focus sash so my blaze is activated. I use acid spray from Glowking shootout a overheat and Bam I can one shot quite a bit. I'm inspired by Jamie Boyt and I think you can see why by my explanation why Infernape is so great.
Hax is really good and people need to get over the fact that he needs outrage. It’s not as bad as people think it is, arch, ursa, gold all get deleted by it.
Haxorus hasn't done anything competitively in many years because it is outclassed by the other dragons that can do the same job but better. If Outrage is what you want then there's no reason to not use Dragonite. Bulkier, better ability. Speed is also a problem for Haxorus. This is why Garchomp and Dragapult are always better options.
Basculegion+Archaludon Rain is the dominant archetype atm. Sometimes ran alongside MausApe which is another one of the dominant archetypes. You got both of those in A. The only noteworthy tournament we had so far was dominated by both of these archetypes which seem to be better than Dondozo. Dondozo is also not splashable like the other Mons you got in S-Tier.

There's about 4 of them but dondozo is always that 1 matchup that you must have something for, the same like in Regulation G where you really wanted something for the calyrex shadow rider. You can argue the archaludon and the pelipper for S tier for sure - we said that in the video

It can definitely do some shell smash water spout stuff. There is no wo chien equivalent. Amoongus or Indeedee is a must!
