Raiders is indeed a perfect movie. Im old enough to have seen it upon its first release. Its one of the rare occasions that I went to see a film without any prior knowledge. I was living in Sydney at the time and walked past a cinema advertising a "Special Advance Screening". All I knew was " the guy from Star Wars" was in it. I was blown away completely.
Im such a nerd i own an " official" Fedora and replica Leather jacket....cheaply made in India but i love it. Eyebrows were raised by my wife when i bought a "toy" replica whip 😉.

I had a similar experience when The Fellowship of the Ring was released. I had no idea what the Lord of the Rings was, other than a sequel to The Hobbit which I vaguely remembered reading. My boyfriend at the time had seen the trailer and thought it looked good. All I knew was that it had Elijah Wood in the lead role who I’d seen in The Faculty and Deep Impact and I wasn’t particularly impressed with him as an actor lol. So it was more to appease my boyfriend than anything else and oh boy, was I wrong! 😂
