The new Kim is tremendously amazing in her performance as well the new Gigi. They are both great actress.

I don't see the resemblance at all. Watch them side by side during a BBC interview and you will see the difference. Lea is very pretty. Not saying Eva is not pretty, but Lea, especially in person, in her prime and even now, is quite a looker.

Hope they also release the one with Lea... the original cast.. i was too young then so i wasn't able to watch. It'll be such a treat for a lot of people to see Lea as Kim..

Just saw the show for the first time today. It really was an amazing show and musical production. And furthermore I think Eva was robbed of the Tony this year.

I saw Miss Saigon my first time at Chicago's Auditorium Theater during my senior year in high school. It left such an impact I saw it 5 more times while it was there. Jennie Kwan and Jarrod Emick were the leads. I can't wait to see it again.

There are really good singers but there is not "another Lea Salonga".
I would really recommend it. Ive watched it in New York in june 2017.
I wonder how Puccini would feel about this show and the things it's done with the Butterfly frame. I'd like to think he'd be overjoyed. That Miss Saigon takes the ideas of his frame and treats them with even more sensitivity, to create a truly moving experience of its own. Plus also, I'd like to think he'd be overjoyed with Eva in this version, and Miss Solanga in the original, as Asian singer-actors of immense power.

Help!!! uhm i just watched the 25th anniversary i jist have a question "the fall of saigon" is it allways been in act two? cause in 2000 i saw the play in manila ang i remember that it is in act 1?
It's confusing: in the show, Saigon falls in Act 1, but we don't get to see the final moments until Act 2 (in flashback) complete with the helicopter.

I am Vietnamese and i must say " What the hell is this ? " when i watched the trailer. Even the actress is not related to vietnamese, Kim is a Korean last name not Vietnamese name.

Kim is not the surname of the girl, it's her first name. And Kim is definitely a Vietnamese name. On the other hand the actress chosen is Filipino and not Vietnamese...

Trần Thanh Bảo It isn’t required to find a Vietnamese woman to play Kim. As long as you resemble the character it’s fine. Just like how a British actor would play a French guy. And also the actor playing Chris is British and not American. You just have to be the image the directors, writers, and producers have.
