    I was in Brazilian jiu jitsu for 6 months and plan to get back into it and I’m gonna get my boys in it as well when they turn 4 because the world we live in is just fucked up and I think every child should learn it especially if their small is not a very big guy myself but I’m a hell of a grappler and i am very strong for my size I even took someone down that weighed over a 100 pounds more then me grabbed him by his throat put him on his back and he couldn’t get me off of him so I know I have talent and strength For my size but I’ve learned a lot and know it’s best to not fight unless your being attacked try your best to talk ur way out of a fight and it took me having kids to learn that.

    Literally the first thing you need to do is drop your hips and push then out, then fight hands. Do not under any circumstances lock your arms first, your arms just became the lever at this point. Fundamentals of 5 Point defense in wrestling is what you need here, also wrestles actually do get their hips away first, it just happens like in a split second but it's what prevents them from getting launched, the hand fighting is to help return to a safe position.

    • @Selfdefensegoat
      @Selfdefensegoat ปีที่แล้ว

      If the arms are locked in completely I agree. If you can prevent the grip from happening then ass out and low for sure.

    This is great.
    Might I add, and I know this sort of attack happens quite quickly but if you can manage it, a quick shapr stamp on the attackers foot/toes can help/ or scraping your shoe down their shin (works best when wearing office type shoes with sharp inner edges to the soles)....done this a few times when bigger kids at school used to grab me from the back and try WWF moves on me (yeah tiny asian kid + glasses+1980s = easy target) and it worked...admittedly not all the time but the times it did they let go instantly.
    Ladies in heels, especially stiletto heels...trust me unless the guy is wearing steel toecaps, he's gonna feel the pain when you stamp down on his foot - remember all you need is a split second to escape.

    it is very difficult to get out of this situation, especially since it happens very quickly. It seems to me that you can only hit the striker with your foot and try to somehow partially neutralize the power of this throw. After all, hardly anyone will have such reflexes, and if, in addition, the attacker is a strong person, he will break us anyway.

    Not too long ago: I'm a big and heavy guy, and how many people can arch their back?
    Then I saw an untrained woman picking up another woman and slamming her head first into the stone floor...
    She didn't arch her back, nor did she do any throw I'd recognize. It was obviously pure intuition and malice...

    Number one, back elbows to the head can do just as much damage to your arm as it does to their head, actually even more. Heads are tough the connective tissue in the back of your arm is not. Two people talk a lot of negative things about situational awareness, I don’t understand why,All of our self-defense techniques are better if we are aware of the fact that we are about to be in a fight. Good job as usual thank you. Be safe.

    Base yourself, drop your hips and break the grip, turn and work your move

    Only reason i looked this up was because i watched a corrupt cop body slam a man and cause him a lot of damage, this was highly informative!

    That keylock is a nasty counter attack. You have to be Quick. I tried it at a BJJ tournament and got DUMPED. XD
