At 13:27, spring ring clasps attract the magnet because of metal spring inside 🧲

Spring ring clasps have a spring inside of them which will always be magnetic.

Great finale part 3 on the Estate pieces. I really enjoyed the series. I agree with you when you say opening estate jewelry is totally different than like a ShopGoodwill lot or a bag of jewelry from the thrift store. It has a much more personal feel to it and you get a real idea of the kind of things the person enjoyed in their life. I just finished a 3 part video series (soon to be 4) of an entire vintage jewelry box filled with estate jewelry that I bought from a gentleman. It was his mother‘s jewelry box. Just like you found, I found several mini-parure sets. Her jewelry collection was not quite at the level of what you went through. However, there were still many many lovely, signed vintage pieces in excellent condition. So much fun to go through it. Thanks for your video and all the educational information.

just fyi, damascene is engraved carbon that has real gold and silver inlays, while Toledo ware ( what you showed here) is Enameled gold tone, or very rarely gold. They aren't interchangeable.

Pat kept her jewelry in like new condition, were these pieces she wore, or just a "collection" I wonder? That's a mustard seed - for good luck, that jewelry was very popular in 50's-60's.

She sure did! I really don't know how often she wore jewelry. The rings did seem like they were worn quite a bit as the roundness had lost shape on them. Pat was in her 80s and I believe some pieces belonged to her mother as well.

You are very smart using a magnifier to test the small diamonds! I never thought of that nor have any of the other unboxers I have watched ( a lot, lol).
Your content is informative and enjoyable. Looking forward to the next one.
