Tosh, you are proving to Josh that you don’t drop “every” screw you hold 😅. I just love you guys.

More kids need more parents like you guys. These kids are getting the best upbringing they could ever possibly get with you and Tosh. Love Rocky, little Rocky, grannie and all the other farm creatures. Thank you thank you thank you.👍👍🇨🇦
I am so proud that you include your wife and kids in ur videos and teaching them how to fix cars. Not alot of young folks now days can even change a flat tire let alone diagnose a dead car and fix

Every day after work, we come home to relax and hang out with you guys! We have learned so much and enjoyed the wholesome content. You don't find that much anymore, and it's really good to see there are still good God-fearing people in this world. God bless you guys. All our love, the Hess family.
Hey guys! From Yucatan, Mexico! The United States should require every person to watch your shows.....They would learn the proper way to raise a family with love, humor, family unity, and inspiration to learn a very useable and profitable trade! You provide me and my wife with many enjoyable viewing hours! I'm restoring my 1977 MG Midget now, when we're at our main home in Bisbee, Arizona, and love seeing your work! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Jeff.
Enjoyable family friendly and productive episode as always. Cutting down a Christmas tree after Christmas for a goat while in "fish flops" could a be a worlds first.
This car reminds me of my moms ‘65 Satellite 383. In the early ‘70s she would drag race people with us in the car! She traded that car in for a red on red ‘77 Granada 305 special ordered and it was a total lemon. She’s 78 now and loves your channel!
i'm glad that i'm not the only one that laughs when noises happen while bleeding brakes lol Love ya'll, my daughter always teases me that you guys are our long lost cousins.
I haven't laughed this much in a long time! Watching WaWa and Ralphie drive with that tree on the car was priceless. I know Rocky and his girlfriends appreciate their awesome Christmas gift.
FAVORITE CHANNEL!! Thanks for the amazing family car stuff. I worked with my dad at his small bodyshop for 20 years and we shut the doors a couple years when dad was retiring so its like growing up again with a dad the same age and kids I never had lolol... Thanks again!! -Rob
This car reminded me of my first car. It was a 1964 Barrracuda with a blown slant 6. I was 13 at the time, helping my brother inlaw work on his cars. We took a 383 out of a 1948 Plymouth and put in a 413 wedge, then he gave me the 383 for helping him. I swapped the 383 and 260 slant six. Backed out of the driveway. Once in the road I put it in low and stepped down on the acelcerator and took my foot off because the front of the car went about 3 feet in the air. I then let it idle until the car was parked and shut off it the driveway. The man that lived across the street came running over and asked if the car was for sale. We made a deal. He then showed me what he was working on in his garage. It was a custom rail with a full blow 426 HEMI slicks 2 speed push button trans. He was very impressed at how much I knew at such a young age. You son reminds me of myself at that age keep up the good work.
When messing with stuck brake lines, try clamping the flaring tool clamping part on the brake line as close as possible to the fitting. It might help from twisting the line.
Great job on the old Savoy. My 64 Dart had the manual trans and had a hard time shifting out of first on cold mornings till I drained the gear oil and used ATF. Got that tip from a local Dodge tech.
Your 1964 Plymouth is special to me as my very first car was a 1963 Plymouth Sports Fury that was handed down through my family. It was a 4 door with a 318 engine, AC, power steering and a push-button automatic transmission. My dad bought it used from the local Plymouth dealership in Fayetteville, TN (I'm from Lincoln County TN). Then, after several years, he let my older sister drive it and she ended up running it into a ditch and under a barbwire fence which put deep scratches all down the entire top of the car. At some point, the linkage to the push-button transmission had broken and the car sat for a few years in our yard with weeds growing up around it. When my dad offered it to me. I was 16 at the time (today, I'm 68) and he told me if I was willing to pay for having the transmission fixed, I could have it.. By this time, it had over 100,000 miles and the scratches from the barbwire really stood out with rust. That didn't bother me as it was free and I didn't have my own car. With a strap tied to it, we towed it a mile down the highway to the local garage. They repaired the push-button linkage for $80 and I was in high cotton!!! Had my first dates to proms and such in that banged up little jewel and it has always held special memories for me from my teen years.
OUTLANDISH!! I had forgotton about this one. This would destroy ANY Hollywood comedy - Absolutely the funniest thing I have ever seen, hands down! The Concept, Filming, Editing, Dialogue, Facial expressions, Campy music...I could go on and on - just OUTRAGEOUS!!! needless to say the tutorial was flawless.
Nice family recreation! Always good to have a workmate like these! The '64 Savoy brings back some great memories, when it was new, even though it wasn't my car, but that of a very good friend, who also pulled wrenches on some of my projects. The wheels with the added small holes would be a strictly Mopar thing as far as I know. These came about as locaters back when Chrysler used lug bolts, allowing you to start the lug bolts. The tapered axles were also used on Studebakers of the same vintage, although Studebaker strictly used /Dana rear ends. The lug pattern being the same (5 on 4-1/2") maybe the rear drums could even fit, if the drums fit.
Ha.. mom panics like moms do... when they learn to drive old cars on the turf like they are now it's all good. Plowed grass and honestly even dented fenders is far better at low speeds at home. They will end up using their mistake lessons to save their butt or somebody else's later. The memory comments are spot on, at different times throughout their lives they will talk about them again and again. Y'all have a great new year!
I owned a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere, I know my way around wheel bearings. I hated packing the bearings in grease but it was something that needed doing whenever brakes were done. Great to see the 2 older kids learning how things are done, they won't be needing help when it comes to doing bearings for sure. Another nice thing is they will know how to drive a manual transmission vehicle, that is a skill not taught these days. That is why I am glad my vehicle is a 5 speed manual car thieves cannot even drive them these days.
Years ago,, My Father was the Service Manger at a Chrysler - Plymouth Dealer, I remember the 63 and 64 Plymouths having a recall in the Nut that holds the pedal to the Master rod,, if it had a Pink nut on it , it got the recall,,,
if your painting your rims, and your tires are on it, use a deck of cards to protect the tire. Spread the cards out between the tire on the rim and make sure they overlap.
Great video! Glad you got the Plymouth tree-getter car running. So proud of you Wawa and Ralphie! I think Squeezie found a job she liked with that torch. I wonder if there's a checklist of "jobs" on a car the kidlets can complete. That would make for a GREAT video, too. Then the process of trouble shooting when problems pop up, like purposely giving them a wrong part or oil/PB blaster for the job to be completed correctly. Anywho... Looks like 2023 has been great for you all so far, I pray it continues. Way to give your boss, Rocky, a Christmas gift. As you could see, his family enjoyed his "bonus" as well.
A little tip, when you paint hoops with casings on them, get the Glad locked stretchy trash bags make a little hole and go right around the rim with it. It works better than tape. It stretches around the lip of the hoopie
Great Video Josh, Tosh, Wawa, Ralphie and Squeezy! So nice how the whole family gets involved! The kitten is really growing. Love Rocky and the rest of the gang. Thank you for producing some of the best content on U-Tube!
You guys really are the best. I hope you never change the content. I watch it with my coffee before I go to work. I've been a tech for nearly 20 years. I have always wanted to leave the dealership and flip(&keep) old cars but I don't have the guts.
Definitely needs to be the first Sleeperdude Sheriff's Department squad car! Deputies Ralphie and WaWa! Squeezie can be the dispatcher! Love this car! First one you've worked on I've wanted to own. Excellent video as usual!
I thought about that too, as a police car. Black and white, with a red bubble on the roof, and a teardrop spotlight. Be great for any local parade or car show.
Can't be 100% sure it's the same model, but my father owned a 64 Plymouth that looked like that one. It was also white with the blue interior. That thing was a tank!! No idea whatever happened to it. Got wrecked a couple times, but that never stopped it. It's nice to hear how grateful y'all are for being able to live this life. Although, even if no one watched, hopefully these home videos mean the world to your children. Just being able to watch all the shenanigans all y'all get up to would be worth it to me. The best part of all your videos though, is watching the trust and confidence you have in your children, and seeing that develop in themselves. All y'all are the best!!
Thank you for starting the new year great. You have a great family. Ive also noticed that Squeezie is making more apprearances. Keep up the great work from NW Ark.
I'll agree with the cheap glass filters but thousands of plastic filters under the hoods of thousands of vehicles worldwide negate your opinion on those.
I love your videos ever since I saw you working on the old model t Ford I’ve been watching! I hope to work on more cars like you someday! Thanks your friend-Ian
You got to love the kids driving the car themselves around the yard. Dad’s having as much fun as the kids! Even better is little squeezy’s answer on how the brakes work.
Hey those leaning tower of power are killer little engine's and are hard to kill and they run forever seems like glad y'all got it going and having fun with it that's the main thing y'all stay safe and keep the video's coming
Tell Wa Wa that I love dogs and cats as well as you guys do. The only thing, I saw the dog licking her on the face. I don't care for that because I don't want anything licking my face that uses it's tongue for toilet paper. Enjoy watching your family videos. Your kids now do not know how useful all this knowledge will be in future life. Great of you to include them in everything and it forms a lifelong love bond with them. I did that with both my boys, the oldest will be 54 tomorrow and the youngest is 47. That bond is still there.
I had one of these back in the 80s drag it out of the field had no engine or trans but was in good shape, with some help from my brother in law we put a 440 ci with a 4 speed & 8 3/4 rear took us about 2 months to do but make a great sleeper. love your videos keep up the great work.
I have heard the argument many times, claiming a properly maintained single reservoir master cylinder is just as safe as a dual reservoir system. My response is always the same: “If a single reservoir system is so good, then why are they no longer offered?” They are just so unsafe. TY for taking us along
There's a Mopar wrecker called Wildcat Auto Wrecking, that will likely have every part that you will ever need, incl correct hubcaps, it is a bit of a distance (Sandy, Oregon) but, it should be able to do shipping etc.... they surely would be help you out with bits for this car, as well as your red Dart Wagon, & any other Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth, even with possibly the rare bits, door panels, interior bits, floors, correct radios, etc... you can find them on the internet, on youtube there is a video called "Touring Wildcat Auto Wrecking In Search of Mopar Parts" by Old Skool rides (great channel), look it up when you get the time... always great watching your videos, here in Australia....
I love that car, my 03 ford ranger wont pass inspection and has sat in my driveway for the past two years. I havent driven since. I dont walk to good so i have been stuck at home fortwo years.
Please Forgive me... but you're gonna have to make this vid rated R after that comment momma made when she was workin on the foglights... 😬 I'm awful.. lol...
Awesome Video! When I was doing brakes on my 1969 Opel GT I had a few lines that wouldn't break lose. And I remebered your trick with the vic grips. And guess what It worked! My grandpa as impressed! He never saw that trick before. Your videos sure do teach a 16 year old(me) a lot!
I love that all of your family is included. Shows that automotive work isn't just for old boomer dudes. It can be enjoyed by women and kids as well...and apparently goats.
64 Plymouth would make a great race car, drag strip car, burn out car. A little rust repair, paint spray over and some stickers. A nice black racing strip front to back, would tell people to get out of your way and back off. I got this, give me my trophy now. Clean car out and put seat covers. Speedway ,here I come. Sleeperdude is on the TRACK. Name the car "The Waa Waa Special"
I remember as a kid back in the 60's You could have your back to any parking lot and you could tell just by the sound when a Mopar anything started up. And I read in my local paper two days ago about what people could do to recycle their Christmas Trees. Feed them to goats.
👍 you just have to be careful if they have sprayed the trees with a preservative!! We were gonna buy them a real one and wifey was worried sick so we cut a real one for them
@@Sleeperdude That's what the story said . If the trees had been sprayed with anything don't feed them to the goats. I have heard of some towns that have a lake nearby. They will use the trees for an artificial reef for the fish.
I actually had some of those wiper things, and what they do is direct the wind across your windshield and it blows the rain off so that you dont have to use your wipers at all. It works by changing the turbulent air, into air directed at blowing the rain off the windshield.
My Lord! You have outdone yourself again!! I actually like the length of your videos, Most videos from others is about 25 - 35 minutes and that is enough. Yours are like a feature film that I can settle into the night for knowing it will round off my day perfectly.
Watching Ralphie and wahwah drive was cracking me up, reminded me of when my grandpa taught me to drive three on the tree when I was 10 at His farm, great memories being made
absolutely LOVE making brake lines! I have no idea why but I do. Saves so much money as welll as i have all the flaring tools,, bubble,, flare, double flare
BTW, you can aneal? Spelling?. By heating copper washers by heating to cherry red and dropping in oil and it's completely revived and reusable! Oil or water but I believe oil. Tech tip for the week😁 or maybe let it cool I can't remember, but heck you don't need to replace them unless visibly messed up. Oh tech tip #2 use a smidge of axle grease on your old nasty gasket and it should seal, also on gaskets that need to stay in place and not get messed up ie water pumps etc. Learned from the good ole boys.
Grease on new gaskets that can get messed while positioning really helped. Never had a leak. Learned from some serious ole mechanics. Hopefully you try and have good results! Love yo guy's!.
Awesome video Josh, Ralphie and Wawa. Cutting down that tree. And dragging it all the way back to the car. That deserves a medal. Just doing that!!!👍👍👍
Few things I have heard one is that the new fuel with ethonal fuel is very corrosive and eats up old fuel lines pumps and carb seals so you can probably pump out an old tank top it off with ethonal mixed fuel and come back in a week to a clean gas tank and real dirty fuel. Pump it out again and no more issues. Second I heard that if you put chapstick on carb gaskets it not only hold them in place for assembly but keeps them from sticking when you take it back apart. You can get a glass fuel filter with a removable cleanable filter element for 9 bucks on Amazon.
That old slant six will give you good service as they were almost indestructable. My Dad the mechanic always liked the slant six and the 318 V8 as he described them both as some of the best engines Chrysler ever built. Thanks for another fun video and Happy New Year to all.
Today we have TH-cam certified Master Mechanics. Back then we had the same thing minus TH-cam. Basically they didn’t know squat about cars but did the brake work themselves anyway. (as evidenced with the brakes you pulled off that car.) My dad was a master mechanic growing up in the 80’s and I remember him getting disgusted with some of repair work done to some of the cars he’d bring in. I enjoy seeing Ralphie get in there and get his hands dirty at his age. I was the same exact way since I can remember.
What I love about thses Videos... These Kids are learning to Drive, Without Electronic Nanny Crap... They will be able to drive Any Car in a Emergency...
I enjoy your videos, brings back memories of working on the slant six motor which was in Valiants in Australia, great engine. You are a great Dad with great children and the patience to teach them your skills.

That slant six has mechanical lifters, which probably need to be checked (speaking from experience on 67 valiant)
That car as rust free as it looks? If so it deserves paint.
What year is the engine because with the plugs you used it is much later. The early ones had deep reach plugs.

Just being able to watch all the shenanigans all y'all get up to would be worth it to me. The best part of all your videos though, is watching the trust and confidence you have in your children, and seeing that develop in themselves. All y'all are the best!!
Awesome thank you
@@Sleeperdude You’re very welcome!
Thank you for starting the new year great. You have a great family. Ive also noticed that Squeezie is making more apprearances. Keep up the great work from NW Ark.
Thank you
FYI: You should never use glass or plastic fuel filters around the engine to keep from having a potential fire, always use metal housed filters.
Ok thanks
Do not ever weld anything in the rear hub ...
It's bit hazardous fire like !!!
🤔 🙄 😌
Well, ...
Ok !
Hell no the metal housing filters cause way more fires! They always start leaking 😂 the solid plastic ones are better
I'll agree with the cheap glass filters but thousands of plastic filters under the hoods of thousands of vehicles worldwide negate your opinion on those.
Thank God for you Christians you keep a positive spirit on the internet.
I hope so
I love your videos ever since I saw you working on the old model t Ford I’ve been watching! I hope to work on more cars like you someday! Thanks your friend-Ian
More to come!
Seems to be that way
Had the 225 in my 76 As pen practically bulletproof
Tell Wa Wa that I love dogs and cats as well as you guys do. The only thing, I saw the dog licking her on the face. I don't care for that because I don't want anything licking my face that uses it's tongue for toilet paper. Enjoy watching your family videos. Your kids now do not know how useful all this knowledge will be in future life. Great of you to include them in everything and it forms a lifelong love bond with them. I did that with both my boys, the oldest will be 54 tomorrow and the youngest is 47. That bond is still there.
Ok I will tell her
I absolutely love how you're able to find parts and make stuff work from either left overs or wrong auto.. FRUGALITY RAWKS 😄🤘🏼🇺🇲
Yes for sure
The sound of that slant six brings back some childhood memories riding around in my dad's 83 dodge d150
That’s great
I had one of these back in the 80s drag it out of the field had no engine or trans but was in good shape, with some help from my brother in law we put a 440 ci with a 4 speed & 8 3/4 rear took us about 2 months to do but make a great sleeper. love your videos keep up the great work.
That sounds like fun
Wiggle wiggle wiggle
That's what I do to get my blue jeans on after the holidays.
Probably the Very best explanation of how brakes work I've ever heard. Perfect...now I understand completely. Thank you.😃
Glad it helped!
Holy gizwold family Christmas tree
Yes!!!
When I make new brake lines I’ll put grease or anti seize on the end of the line under the tube nut to keep ‘em from freezing up and snapping!
Ok thanks
I have heard the argument many times, claiming a properly maintained single reservoir master cylinder is just as safe as a dual reservoir system. My response is always the same: “If a single reservoir system is so good, then why are they no longer offered?” They are just so unsafe. TY for taking us along
You maybe right
Love your videos, sleeper, dude awesome con tent
Thanks 👍
I’ve heard of ex cons living in tents, but not cons.
Your videos rock my friend love it all
Thank you
I love that car, my 03 ford ranger wont pass inspection and has sat in my driveway for the past two years. I havent driven since. I dont walk to good so i have been stuck at home fortwo years.
I hate to hear that. Hope it gets better for you.
Please Forgive me... but you're gonna have to make this vid rated R after that comment momma made when she was workin on the foglights... 😬 I'm awful.. lol...
🤣
Awesome Video! When I was doing brakes on my 1969 Opel GT I had a few lines that wouldn't break lose. And I remebered your trick with the vic grips. And guess what It worked! My grandpa as impressed! He never saw that trick before. Your videos sure do teach a 16 year old(me) a lot!
Glad it helped… keep up the good work
Love it first mat uk
Thank you
Ps happy new year sleepers family much love mat family uk
I love that all of your family is included. Shows that automotive work isn't just for old boomer dudes. It can be enjoyed by women and kids as well...and apparently goats.
So true!
That would be cool
My husband rob Canning absolutely loves your channel..I think he watches you the most since he figured out how to use you tube to watch your channel
That’s great thank you
I remember as a kid back in the 60's You could have your back to any parking lot and you could tell just by the sound when a Mopar anything started up.
Awesome
Griswold family tree. I really enjoy watching your family and animals as yall bring old cars to life!
Thank you
Im glad rockys makin longer appearances..rocky rocks
He’s the best
My Lord! You have outdone yourself again!! I actually like the length of your videos, Most videos from others is about 25 - 35 minutes and that is enough. Yours are like a feature film that I can settle into the night for knowing it will round off my day perfectly.
I’m glad you enjoy them
I somehow missed this video the kids have grown so much they are much better mechanics now. Like this car
Thanks
Watching Ralphie and wahwah drive was cracking me up, reminded me of when my grandpa taught me to drive three on the tree when I was 10 at
His farm, great memories being made
Awesome 😎
I think that the 64 and 65 Plymouths had the best-looking body styles of them all. It would be nice to make her look and drive like new again.
Yes 👍
You were really blessed to get those rear drums off as easily as you did. Usually involves a puller and hammer. Great job on your videos.
absolutely LOVE making brake lines!
Thanks for the tips!
Just doing that!!!👍👍👍
You got that right!
Those Slant Six motors always sounded in a very particular way Thanks for vindicating the old school 👍
Thank you
LOL! I love how the kids just go with getting a tree on that car and then want to drive it. Good memories for your family right there.
Thanks so much
That was the most fun I've had on TH-cam in awhile. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Few things I have heard one is that the new fuel with ethonal fuel is very corrosive and eats up old fuel lines pumps and carb seals so you can probably pump out an old tank top it off with ethonal mixed fuel and come back in a week to a clean gas tank and real dirty fuel. Pump it out again and no more issues. Second I heard that if you put chapstick on carb gaskets it not only hold them in place for assembly but keeps them from sticking when you take it back apart. You can get a glass fuel filter with a removable cleanable filter element for 9 bucks on Amazon.
Awesome thank you
That looks like a culinary torch, used for crème brûlée, and other things.
Yeah you could use it for that as well
That old slant six will give you good service as they were almost indestructable.
Awesome thank you
What I love about thses Videos... These Kids are learning to Drive, Without Electronic Nanny Crap...
They will be able to drive Any Car in a Emergency...
Yeah maybe so
@@Sleeperdude Get Ralphie to look up. SummerNats channel.. it’s Summernats 35 time… watch some proper burnouts…
i guys seasons greetings, just letting you know the wiper aids are back to front they may lift instead of pushing preasuredown on the screen..
Ok thanks
Its great to finally see the Savoy get some love. She deserves it. Waa Waa's first car.
Yes it’s a cool ride
Thank you family for your educational and entertaining content! My favorite was watching Rocky attack his Christmas tree! That tickled me to no end!
He’s too funny
Oh, the slant six! My first two vehicles both had slant sixes. Loved that engine. It was a rock until it was not.
Yes for sure
I enjoy watching your entire family involved in the auto projects
I enjoy your videos, brings back memories of working on the slant six motor which was in Valiants in Australia, great engine. You are a great Dad with great children and the patience to teach them your skills.
Thank you very much!
Lovely too see a lovely family working together god bless you all xx
Thank you
It gets that cold you got to leave water running in the house somewhere so your pipes don't freeze😊
For sure
Speedway motors has replacment bulbs 4.5 in. $21 each or new (look the same) $49

Thank you
Great Channel, We don't get RC in the UK.... granny is number 1 (Thanks)
Thank you
I love the way a old 390 sounds especially when you have to gas it to cold start it. Inline 6 does sound really smooth though.
Wah wahh is going to be a great driver. I hope y'all get her old cool first car. She needs to practice for ford fest or a Cletus event.
On that front brake, to get that bolt off, remove the backing plate from the steering knuckle. Swap cylinder replace backing plate.
Ok thanks
