i still think the strings sound fake. i work with Cinematic Studio Strings and this library sounds way more realistic still. don't get me wrong, i would love to have strings like this but the sound doesn't convince me yet.
Agreed. Actually the entire thing as an ensemble just doesn't quite hit the mark. It just doesn't sound like a rich, full orchestra. Go listen to the original recording of this piece and there's just no comparison at all.
Back then it probably was a _challenge_ for *John Williams* to write another scify/adventure movie, right after Star Wars, that would be close yet far enough from it. He really managed to give a fabulous piece of music.
Oh how I've been dying to recreate this soundtrack myself. Instant like, man. Nothing beats John Williams' classic Superman theme, even after Hans Zimmer's theme, if someone asks me what theme I picture when I see Superman, it's still the 1978 theme. Good job!
Honestly it sounded about the same as the midi file I just downloaded and played threw my dads old Roland e70 over midi, I was honestly expecting more. So I played the same file on the pc using a tyros 4 soundfont and sounded better , they might have come a long way but the strings/winds still sound about as good as a 1990's Roland synth.
I think the quality of samples coming out today are so much better.... almost indistinguishable from the real thing at times. Suggest listening to some Superman theme mockups on YT.
@@5ammy13 Yea 100% better , I don't think its so much this pack just the way ihe programmed them in, I have some string vst's here that sound amazing when played on midi keyboard but terrible if you just slap notes down.
Ah, the year I was born. God I love this movie, Superman II is still the best out of the series (especially the Donner cut), but this is a very close second.
One of the best themes. Classical and Timeless. I feel this is beneath you though. For a real challenge do Indiana Jones Theme but only using Ujam Striiiings, Braaaass and Druuumms. That would impress everyone. 😂
Well Its not half bad. Theres all sorts of variables to footer around with. Imperfections in tuning, dynamics, the room it was recorded in(abbey road no.1?). If you spent weeks, youd get it it perfect By then you really would believe an Man could fly!...
Of all the John Williams classical modern pieces, you picked the best one! This is my happy tune, if I ever feel down, I play this.
Just amazing 😮
Wow!!! "8 hours later....No PC "crash"? He he he! ;op
VERY nice video!
Regards from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, I love his energy!
Ok, now it's time for "Raiders of the Lost Ark" theme as well!
I'd watch an un-timelapsed, unedited version of this. Just from what you showed, I learned so much! Really friggin cool video
this is like a lecture in music studies in university. but i learn here more than in university. :-D ;-)

@@BillVincent yes it will be somewhere in the future that it will replace the current libraries
It's just the violin and viola. The cello, horns and trumpets from Audio Modelling are good, as long as you use MPE to play.
@@doubleohdutch2108 yes, the trumpet i love

SWAM AMBIENTE !!!! dall'italia great job doc. ciao
Love it
It reminds me of the beginning violin class (with the bow overpressure) -- "The Junior Squeaker's Association"
Really nicely done. Great series
Omg. I can’t believe you can create / build an orchestra with a keyboard and a PC.

Hello, Doctor Mix. Nice! I did my own mockup cover of the "Superman March." It's streaming on my SoundCloud page.

The orchestra sounds legit
Nice work my friend!!!
Marvellous!
Why not try any Electric Light Orchestra tune with those string sctions?
Can you do a recreation of Jeff Waynes war of the worlds from 1978
Need that Richard Burton plugin
😍😍😍
It Terrifies Me ! The funny time lapses made me dizzy, lol! Explosion in 20:23 Neeext !!!
It sounds exactly like what it is: a vst version of the original.
Incrível
Saludos desde México city Héctor y Victor
Minkia!
Can you also do Star Trek? Don't care which one of the movies.
how about next time theme of the flash 90s,would be cool
Enjoyable video and process but the software still sounds very ROMpler-esque. There are much better string and orchestra sounds out there.
Where did you get the full score??
👏💖🎼🎹🎶🥰👍💖🎉
Sorry, this one is not good.
better a real orchestra. So far.
yikes
another commercial......vst sounds horrible, much better sounding orchestral libraries out there from Spitfire/Soundpaint etc.
I don’t like old movies, and Marvel suckcs like big!
still sound plastic :)
