I’d say the two most difficult phases in business are
1) Getting Started
2) Continuing when everyone tells you to quit

The 90% of your life as an entrepreneur that they don’t see.
Such a timely video for me. You don't realize how hard it is starting a company until you are actually in it. It is lonely and gruesome. I was feeling really down as things were not going my way. The projects I spent hundreds of hours on no body liked it or used it. These are the moments when you see your self as a failure and want to quit and get a regular job, but in moments like this you need to go to the gas station to get a refill on your motivations. Thanks for this!

This is what I was exactly thinking about my business I started 10 years go. Thought I would be rich right away. 10 years went by and I'm getting to the point I wanna quit... being strapped here 24/7, watching other ppl having regular jobs and still goes to vacations. After watching this video and more, I decided not to quit. Not gonna let them 10 years to go to waste. I'm gonna make my business grow more and refocus WHY I started this. Thanks man.

I've definitely spoken logically to myself after driving around all day to appointments and 80% of them don't answer their door. when the car payment is due in 2 days, when you have chargebacks and 3 bills are due in a week and you have just enough money for gas and food shopping, those are the moments that'll make or break you. I'm so glad I kept going. I'm not anywhere near where I want to be in my business but I'm grateful to still be in the game. Pat, thanks for all of your advice man! It's kept my spark for this industry alive.

Love it man, I'm in this position right now, i realized this journey has taken me to depression, and most people have told me that I should quit. But instead I'm getting help with a psychologist and getting my mind straight to get back and keep going.

Three things get you through these times: Patience and self-belief and someone to talk to.
I'm definitely going through it right now. Put everything i had and have into this vape store i opened 4 months ago and have been working 80-100 hours a week for the last year and a half to make this happen while the store is growing fast it just is not growing fast enough yet. am currently running a landscaping business in parallel that has been covering my expenses but as im continuing to wait for responses from the jobs i need to land to survive another month nothing is landing right now and im spending more on advertising and getting less leads because the entire market is struggling right now... Monday im going door nocking to sell some mosquito services and hopefully some bigger landscaping jobs to continue on through a few more months. then in fall im moving to gutter and window cleaning. winter is still sketchy and trying to plan for that when landscaping is not an option outside of snow removal wich is very inconsistent. really hoping ill be able to start paying myself minimum wage at least at the vape store by then because im currently working all the afternoon shifts after landscaping and am not yet able to pay myself anything. things are tough but im only 23 and i know if i can just survive a little longer i am setting myself up really well to succeed in the future.

thank you. i know i would not give up. but it feels better when i tell myself, giving up was never an option. the universe is preparing me with those challenges for the next step. there are lessons in those challenges that will benefit me for what is coming.
I cant even imagine how hard this guy had it in business to remember all those moments juste like he lives it still today even if he as that much money
I’ve been at this stage for the past 14 months but I’m never quitting. I rather live like this than be an employee (I almost choked saying that word). The tough times are part of the dream as well

Pat! I do this all the time. I go to my dream spot every Sunday night and review my previous week and look forward to my future week. I live in NY and I simply stare at wall street from Brooklyn. Those moments keep me going cause every single one of those buildings has a story, a leader had to push through heavy challenges, Then that mountain just needs to be well maintained. oh and my car, man, I need to vision myself sitting in my dream SUV. Its crazy how so many people are in the same situation as me right now. Quitting really is the worst thing I can do. Way too many people who depend on me, and I really need to pull my shit together again and again in order to make things work. Its weird that how I can't voice any of this to anyone else but through TH-cam.

Timely. I'm currently going through uneasy times in both my IT software development business, and with my tech startup. Being an entrepreneur is no picnic. And yes, there is noone you can whine to, not even your co-founder. Shut up and keep going. I recently asked from an advice in a women entrepreneurs' group. The best advice I got? 😏 YOU'RE NOT DEAD, SO GET UP AND WORK. 😅 So much for fellow IT female pros support! 👍 Loved it. )
Hey Olga, I feel you. I have this big project about developing a Big Data Analytics division for a stream company. But they offer me equity, not money... I feel so alone taking decisions and investing my time and resources on it, with little to none certitude about how this will gonna work. I will check you channel with these ideas in mind. Take care.

@@DJVARAO Big Data is one of the main directions in my company (we focus on Big Data/core expertise, NLP/ML and DevOps technologies). I would say, if this is something you could work on by yourself, then you might consider the profit of becoming a co-founder (but I should say, it should be a very significant equity then). If it costs you not only time, but also money (like, you have to use your own employees/developers to create a model/whatever they are looking for), then it's a different song, and I would say NO straight away. When I came up with my idea, I gave 50% of the company to my tech co-founder. When we had to attract another tech co-founder, it became 34(my)/33/33. That is fair, in my opinion, to give much to people who believed you at early stages. Up to you, of course, and very best of luck!

im 29 just finished university. my family was very proud of me. but i hate civil engeenering, i feel i have to be somewere else, i feel i could be someone important. im at the most difficult point in my life. no money i have to leave the students appartment, toxic dating life. i want to burn everthing i want to bekomm someone im tired of thinking. if any one read this, just sayor write anything. im so tired to be alone.
My wife and I were doing really good last year but she lost her career before christmas. I went into hyperdrive bought a beater and was gonna ride it till it dies, and rent my car to supplement income. Well, the car runs but ofcourse its costly to fix. My job as a technician can be an 6 hour day or a 13 hour day any random day. I listen to you man. I'm forging ahead and trying to keep a brave face but I've only been brave for about a year now , I have 34 other years of cowardice underneath the surface. I know what I gotta do. Your words really helped. Life long fan man

Thank you. I needed this. I recently had to refund for a big batch of my companies product because they were defective. It was my first time issuing such a big refund and it broke my heart. Some customers are also coming forward with complains and I just felt like maybe I should quit. But no. I'm gonna keep going at it till I reach success.
I know i made the right choice when I go home after a 12-hour work day, just downright exhausted. I look forward to the next client we are going to wow. I knew when i started that this wasn't going to be short term thing. I have ling term goals and may end up hitting them years early.

I thought i was doing everything right. I was hit with a garnishment this year. I was paying a tax accountant that didnt know what he was doing. Next lost 4 clients in one week. No new clients for a week. In order to get through this i just gotta keep pushing. Momma didnt raise a quitter.

This is what I needed
As a new real estate agent
I showed a family houses for a month or more all around town
Knowing how their payment was going to be since the beginning in the pre cal consultation
As soon as we got an offer accepted they switched their minds and gave up
The fact that they were asking me how everything was going during the whole process the fact I invested time gas money stress for nothing
It was a 18k check estimated after closing escrow , and I don’t to feel anger , sad , frustration
Needing that check for expenses
Man I sometimes don’t know if I’m a fit for this

For me these past two years is the first time I didn't run and hide in a part time job, to fund my 30 year old auto repair business. No more running and bailing out. Sink or swim; burn the ships. What do I do in those dark moments? I replay to myself, aloud, words from Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Henry Ford, Ray Dalio, Patrick Bet-David, etc. Failure and defeat is only temporary. Success comes one step after I want to quit. Practical dreamers DO--NOT--QUIT! You have to KNOW what it is that you want. Nobody sees when you want to quit, every day; but you keep going, every day. When I started my first business back in 1990, I had the backing of a local TV station, Jr. College, a radio station and business partner. The business ended up falling anyway. Which was all on me. Now I have none of those things and I finding this very difficult and little strange. I do have the backing of my mentor and SCORE which is the largest business nonprofit in the world. I still feel alone, as I also did in my first business. After all the bottom line is me, and this time I will constantly find ways to refule.

Listen
People will always tell you either you are doing good or bad. At the end of the day they don't-and should'nt care as much as you. Because everyoune is focused on his/her own life.
Don't think of what you can do in couple of months, look into decades.
Don't listen to this get fast rich quick gurus, they are all full of shit and getting exposed one after the other.
Set goals, priorities and a vision for YOUR life, don't try to be successfull for someone else. Do what you want to do. Do it consistently, fail, learn and do it again but better. Then there is a guarantee that you will achieve what you want.
Don't expect it in a timeline. Don't say, I want to achieve it in 3 Months. Because most likely you won't and that will distroy your motivation and self esteem.
My advice: set your vision on what is important to you, set goals, set priorities to achieve this goals, and then input till you are there.
Discipline over Motivation 100%
I am having the hardest time staying motivated. I'm a woodworker by trade, you show me or tell me what you want and I can build it. But when it comes to design, poo poo. I will be successful, I have the talent and tools, a beautiful fiance. . but my mind is working against me. I have battled harder things than most ppl have and came out alive.
I Just been in such a situation and I prayed saying so what? This is it? Am I going to end like this? And same family and only friend believe in me but just arrived to this wall, and yes I dreamed my self making that flight getting that conference rocking that sale until I slept and tomorrow is now let's make it the best Christmas ever 👏👏👏👏👏

I’m starting literally this week. I literally told my parents I’m not going to college to be a lawyer. I haven’t reached this point yet. I know I will. I’m gonna make it happen.
I've watched this before a year ago, but i've watched it 3 times in the past few months, feels like im going to lose it all sooner or later. feel stuck, no idea what to do.
