Was the bar you replaced the original one that came with the bike ? What's the comfort like compared to the standard ones. Also where did you get the indicators from , I like the idea of them being part of the bars
Yes the bar i replaced was original, these new ones are a little taller so u could lean them back and make them easier to grab, but then the trask (new) bars are also a little wider so ur arms are further stretched out. The lights were moto-gadget M Blaze disc turn signals. Hi am thinking between dean speed low ball and trask v-line to choose. Please recommend which one to go for (as none of them are in my country and cant see in real life). Im 183cm tall and stock handlebars from indian are low for me (hurting back on long rides). Also I’m gonna to use it together with quarter fairing and this even complicates my choice. Thanks!
Neither will not resolve your discomfort overall in the ride as neither are going to be significantly higher than stock, my V line handlebars onky feel like two or three inches higher, and definitely wider so still reaching just as far. So if it's a comfort of rising position you're looking for, I'd recommend an even higher handlebar with more length that makes the reaching distance shorter for you. If you're committed to the look with the v line or low ball bar, then you'll have to get used to the sore back. Or my final reccomended action would be keep the bobber looking great with the low bars and use it for short cruises and day to day driving and then get another comfy bike for longer trips, currently trying to get another two bikes right now, its an obsession. Hope this helps. Again, it's your bike and do what makes you happy
Im sure for the wiring portion, but i dont see how my rewiring for this project would change the wear of the engine or gear box or any other mechanisms u really want under the warranty. All that being said these things are very tough and most of the wiring was simply putting back the way iy was after connecting the two extra wires to the already existing ones for each side of the handlebar. When i asked my dealer he said that if what u did to customize cause the problem of the claim for warranty then they may not cover it. So i guess for this one, i dont see how my lighting/wiring should affect the real components i really want covered
Maybe an inch or two. But not much higher. I beleive they make an even taller set of v line(in bar wiring) handlebars that you could purchase as well. But i like the lower style myself
But im curious what you plan to hook them onto, if your doing the stock handlebars you may need to move the grips and such in a little bit to make space for the lower profile bar end mirrors. But if you intend to do the same tradk v line handlebar like mine, unless you get the handlebars custom extended a little, you wont have enough clearance for bat end lights and mirrors, you'll have to choose between bar end mirrors or lights. Hopefully this makes sense. Feel free to send pictures. I may not be able to help any, but still always interested in others peoples bikes and mods
@@convertableburt imma keep the turn signals stock for now. I plan to do the wrap around fork turn signals. So these lower profile bar end mirrors you have should work great with the v-line handlebars? Not sure where you bought yours, but I see ss customs have them for $320
@ryanjarrell4359 so they will fit on the trask v line handlebars, but you'll need to extend the bars metal about a half an inch for them to sit on the bar end. If you've take off your stock mirrors, you will likely see that the chrome/silver part is just screwed into the stock handlebars, and that they arent one peice of metal. Same with the trask handlebars, they will need some extension to accommodate the space needed for the bar end mirrors to clamp down. Another option which is cheaper, would be pull off the grips and cut them a little shorter, thus making space for the mirrors to clamp around the metal. Or buying grips that are same diameter for the bars, but also slightly shorter, again creating the extra space needed. In my video we see the bar end mirrors on the trask v line, and with bar end lights. I only kept this way for a few months, for two reasons: One the mirrors weren't as tight as id like because they couldn't fully compress around the metal as much as id like, and thr bar end lights helped hold the mirrors in place. As result of this when accelerating with the right grip and enough wind, my mirror straight up turned a couple times on me. And secondly, i like the feel and look without the mirrors on there, and ive gotten use to turning my head completely for every lane check i do. Sorry to make it sooo long
@@convertableburt oh okay, I see what you are saying. And the stock mirrors will fit fine on the v-line hand bars yeah? You have been really helpful, I appreciate it.
I’m about to buy one of these
Nice job, looks good.
Looking to get these same ones for my road glide

Will this void the factory warranty on the wiring?

Did The clutch and brake cables have to replaced or stock cables are enough?
@@MouKiKus everything else fit stock, except for the bar end mirrors. Which I now run with no mirrors
