    Since the PAC12 is completely dissipating, it would be cool to see the west coast schools all drop into the MWC and eventually become a power college football conference.

      There is no more P-5 because it doesn't mean anything anymore. It's the Super 2 Conferences and everyone else due to the growing financial and talent gap. After the most valuable ACC schools leave for the Super 2 Conferences the Big12 and ACC will be no different then the G-5 conferences. They don't have any football blue bloods and they all have small fan bases. The Super 2 Conferences, with the 40 to 50 most valuable schools, will probably just create their own separate league and playoff system so they can keep all the revenue they generate so they can pay their players their fair share of the TV revenue and have all the best players. All the leftovers and G-5 schools and conferences can create their own league and playoff system to generate their own revenue but it won't be as much because they aren't as popular. It's eventually going to be a 2 tiered system because there is way too much dead weight in FBS that wants a free handout of the playoff revenue that the valuable schools generate. Plus more schools keep joining the FBS every year. It's getting ridiculous, the Super 2 Conferences no longer want the bottom feeders leaching off of them if they have to pay their players.

      The Super 2 Conferences no longer want the bottom feeders and leftovers leaching off them if they have to pay their players their fair share of the TV revenue. That's why they are consolidating with the most valuable schools so they can maximize their TV revenue to better prepare for the inevitability of it. After the Super 2 Conferences grab all the valuable schools they want they will probably break off from the NCAA, bottom feeders, and leftovers so they can keep all the TV revenue they generate so they can share it with their players, the best ones.

      @roris5882 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no more P-5 because it doesn't mean anything anymore. It's the Super 2 Conferences and everyone else. The Super 2 Conferences will control their new playoff system, starting in 2026, and after they grab the remaining valuable schools they want they will probably break off from the NCAA, bottom feeders, leftovers, and leaches because they don't want to share their revenue if they have to pay their players, the best ones, their fair share of the TV revenue. The leftovers should just create their own league and playoff system with similar small fan base schools.

      P-5 doesn't mean anything anymore. It's the Super 2 Conferences and everyone else. The ACC is about to collapse because their most valuable schools want out so they can join a Super 2 Conference. The leftovers will probably join the Big12/Leftovers League. The Big12 is closer to a G-5 conference because of the growing financial and talent gap. Plus they have no football blue bloods and all their members have small fan bases, just like the other G-5 conferences. The Super 2 Conferences will probably create their own league and playoff system, after they consolidate all the most valuable schools, so they can keep all the revenue for themselves. Why would they share it with all the leftover conferences when they have no realistic opportunity to complete with them?

    • @zenshinroshi186
      @zenshinroshi186 ปีที่แล้ว

      Give me a break San Diego State fans do not thinkl thry are sure there's always the certain Bunch you want to think they're the best but that happens with every school. no Aztec fan goes around calling itself the elite you need to stay off the hard stuff maybe drink some iced tea. yes attendance isn't good when the team is bad when you put an exciting product on the field San Diego State has in the past drawn 50,000 fans to a game and certainly could with 40k. you might have missed this for 2 years we played in Carson so of course there were any fans then. San Diego is a middle-class city and unfortunately, many people can't afford the tickets at Snapdragon I don't think you realize just how expensive they are. it's $40 for parking seats will cost you even on the 10-yard line about $200 so for two people that's $240 Plus food Etc most people can't afford that.
      You don't have to look at renderings there are plenty of pictures of the stadium as it is now it's a beautiful Stadium, if anyone does renderings of a stadium they're going to show it with a crowd you genius. Boise fans are good sports they're proud of their team and they can be a little arrogant at times but they're almost always gentlemen. you go to Fresno game you're liable to be hit with a urine bomb and the atmosphere is like a Raiders game only some of the fans aren't that sane.
      I was never interested except for the money aspect of joining the Pack 12. you know in 45 years ASU and U of A only produced two Rose Bowl teams both by ASU. I went to ASU in the '60s actually played a couple years under Frank Kush The dream was in for them to go to the Pacific Conference. we didn't do so well once we got there. I know full well that if you put a good product on the field San Diego State will do well in attendance. Ask for the P5 thing if you haven't figured this out yet the whole idea behind that is to have a super Conference of 64 teams and screw everybody else. that's the American way we live in a corporate plutocracy where money is God. also a good proportion of our population are morons of which we have prima facie evidence by the last two presidents we elected. SDState is not all that. They are a good school (athletics wise) but not great. Both Fresno State and Boise State are better. Since 2012 in Football Fresno State has 4 conference championships and 6 more division championships. Boise State has 4 conference championships and 6 more division championships. San Diego has 2 conference championships and 5 more division championships. Head to head In the same time frame Fresno state has a 7-3 lead in basketball, historically Fresno State has been somewhat better with the last couple of years (particularly last year) San Diego has the edge. FSU has national champion Baseball and softball teams and both have been consistent national powers (baseball since the late 50’s) although both have come down a notch to regional powers in the last 10 years or so. They also announced a 275 million dollar remodel of an already nice stadium to take it up a level and have a really nice on campus basketball facility. Bottom line while San Diego St. is a good school in college athletics, it is in any given year, 3rd or 4th best in the Mountain west over all. So, what, really do they have to offer a bigger conference other than the Southern California tv market and history has shown that the fan base there is behind a winner but anything less than that, they disappear.

  • @davkatjenn

    I graduated SDSU in 1981 and the talk of them trying to get out of the Mountain West and seek another conference is really, really disappointing. It sounds like San Diego State has as much money lust as any other college in the country and that is not a good thing. I am thinking now about Stanford and Cal going to the ACC and I can hear the University Presidents of those school right now telling the old story about how their only interest is in the welfare of the student/athletes. Well how is that going to work for them when they have a mid-week contest back at Clemson and this is during a big midterm exam week? I wish to God that football and basketball were no longer on campus and the NFL and the NBA financed them and ran them as minor leagues. So SDSU wants to go down that road? As an alumni I would much rather see them continue to play the schools that they grew up playing and not worship at the altar of the almighty dollar. How about some loyalty Aztecs. Geez, this is disappointing.
