The extra 10 grand for the .2 gets you much better touchscreen infotainment. It gets you PDK if you go auto. It also generally gets you a newer car with less miles. Another note, my .2 had a 6 CD I car with single slot which keeps all that extra space for even more drugs, well with mine, shopping bags, cleaning cloth and a icarsoft reader. I like the wing mirrors on both versions. I also have wiper and will probably keep it as I find it useful. They are both great cars and we will always be biased for the one we have. To be fair the noise is tamer on the .2 which one day I will try and rectify but I just don’t have the funds. Keep enjoying your 997 bud.
Maybe not the best reason to buy a car, but I recently had to replace one of my side markers and a lamp in the "lower" headlight assembly. Zero tools needed for the side marker and nothing more than a credit card and a butter knife for the other. Maybe 5 minutes tops for both... On the other hand, had to replace a burnt out lamp on my F-150 a couple years ago, coose to an hour if I was lucky, had to dismantle a series of cowlings & covers for one loust lamp I just think it speaks to the engineering behind everything PORSCHE does BTW, recently went with the PCCM, definitely a bit overpriced, but a very nice upgrade Great vid, best of luck with the channel.
Thanks Richard! I agree Porsche engineer things so beautifully, really makes living with these cars alot easier than people may think, even for a tired old one like mine!
As a 9974s owner they are getting on now and a cheap car will cost the same as a expensive car to keep on the road and steel liners do not work in a open deck block .

Thanks! The .2 is also a bit better looking I prefer the rear lights and the bumper lights. But all in all they’re both great cars! 🤙🏼
