      2nd year fall semester Final Review (Dec. 2017). If I’d known the jury was gonna shit on my project so much I would’ve just designed a toilet. Honestly looking back my project made no sense so it was rightly deserved, but nevertheless I still have nightmares about that day. 😰

      4th year first semester, i was super nervous and frozen from 3hr long waiting in cold room, presented badly...looking back the project was not great, but it wasnt that bad considering how badly the teacher supervised... i received dead silence and then got roasted, did not expect that.. took me almost a week to get over it, still holding a grudge, but it made me stronger... it was a massive fail, but i find it kinda funny now

    The best thing anyone can do to improve their presentations, if they haven’t already done so, is take a public speaking class. I took one in high school and when I got to my university presentations weren’t a huge deal. I had already broken out of that stage fright phase and now when I talk to a jury I no longer get flustered or anxious because of the tips and tricks that were taught in that class.

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Julian, this is such great great advice!!!! Absolutely!! I think we all struggle with stage fright or self-embarrassment. So taking that speaking class can definitely force people to come out of their shell.

    This vidéo is on fleek!:) I'm going to my last internship , and after that i have my final presentation in April for my diploma but i'm so terrified . I mean i did the job , but it was the last project so i put myself on pressure and im not as satisfied that i wanted to be... do you have advice for that ? Because for now it's inside me , but i'm afraid that it goes wrong on the Big day ... i even dream of it... . But that was a great video ! I love it thanks so much!:) Greetings from France

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say satisfaction comes from the day to day tasks. Instead of only being proud of yourself and the quality of work your produce for a project when its complete instead of celebrating the little accomplishments as you go will not only elevate your mood but also your life - as we spend most of our lives working. So finding joy itself in the work itself i think is really important for architects(: You got this!! Best of luck to you

    how about presenting a team project? apparently there is no formula for a team presentaitions because different teams have different dynamics but it is interesting to see what people think.

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes!! Architecture is super collaborative. I would say write out major key points about your project with your team. Typically in projects, I am sure you all divided up the work, so talk about the work that you produced - as you know that aspect of the project the best, and let your teammates talk about their parts. Rehearse!! Share notes on the concept statement and really nail it! There is nothing more awkward when the team is presenting and they all are not on the same page - so make sure everyone is on the same page and go from there((:

    Can you suggest any book for improve design concepts and btw great going keep posting such videos ✨❤️🌸

    • @UnravelingArchitecture
      @UnravelingArchitecture  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      To improve design concepts, I recommend this book of diagrams: amzn.to/3u8w4Fo
      I know it is a bit expensive but I bought my years ago and use it all the time. It really breaks down diagraming - which is essential for concept explanation and its, in a way, just a massive catalogue of concepts for architecture.

      Hey! I made a video on this! th-cam.com/video/s0gTksyc5hU/w-d-xo.html
      NAAB accreditation is essential and most community colleges don't have an accredited program. As for classes to take in high school, focus on art classes with a 3D modeling component, like a ceramics class, physics classes and math classes!
