    The Heat are always going to be a problem as long as they got Spo, Jimmy and Bam. But Rozier adds much needed scoring depth that could make them a title contender.

    This sneaky move could ascend the heat back to the conference finals low-key. I always like them as a contender no matter the standings but philly looking serious this year so I think the heat nailed it to get better. Also only for Lowry is perfect

  • @michaelbietsch2864
    @michaelbietsch2864 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I liek the trade for the heat, but I still very much so believe that they need more size. in the finals last year they looked helpless, even in game 2 when they shot 50% from 3, they only won that game because the nuggets were sleep walking. Bam is a great center, but he himself isn't big enough. in 2 different finals the heat have looked helpless because they're going up against much larger teams (The heat were banged up in both, but how much of a difference does it really make?) Me personally, I think the heat would look great if they traded for Nic Claxton and moved Bam to the 4 and ran a big 2 man game like Cleveland with Mobley and Allen. The defense with Bam and Clax would be crazy, especially since both are elite at going out to help on the perimeter. Obciously I don't think the heat could get Claxton, and I don't know what assets they have, but that's the general idea

    • @HoopVenue
      @HoopVenue  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Bam and Claxton doesn't feel like a tenable playoff offense at all though. Neither can shoot, both need to operate in the middle and running screen game.
      They've been great defensively in almost every playoff series, even against Denver they stalled the offense. Nuggets won with defense.

      Not quite. League average % at the rim is 66.3% and he's shooting 55.6% (abysmal).

    • @yapyap3
      @yapyap3 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Lol no. By that logic Klay Thompson made Steph obsolete?
      That doesn't apply to shooters. Both Herro and Rozier can shoot.

    • @Jsch23
      @Jsch23 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@yapyap3 tyler herro isnt steph curry who is an all time great distance shooter and an all time great player, when you have players with overlapping skill sets you will eventually have diminishing returns especially if they share the floor. now if rozier turns out to be a great defender for them that may be different. klay thompson in his prime was an amazing defensive player. also he was a better shooter than either herro or rozier will ever be so your comparison is just out the window at this point. if you have two players who do something at an all time great level especially with one of them being a high level wing defender then obviously you keep both. now obsolete may be a strong word for herro but if you have a player who does the things he does as well or better than him, then maybe its time to replace him with a player who fills a role that they havent found the right player to fill yet if you truly want to optimize this team as a championship contender. i think my logic tracks perfectly.

    He doesnt fit, hes a natural shooting guard, with herro in the line up he will be a 6th man whivh will not be efficient, if you make him a point guard his score will drop and with his size he will be a defensive liability.

    • @HoopVenue
      @HoopVenue  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not think he's a natural SG at all, he's just been forced into that playing next to LaMelo, which is why his numbers skyrocketed the moment Ball got hurt. His size in raw height isn't great, but he's really strong and has the length of a forward, so he's not a typical "small guard" like a Trae Young or Darius Garland.

      He's a combo guard. He had to play 2 because Lamelo already played point.
      Plus, he doesn't need to be the sole facilitator in Miami. Spo's system doesn't require a playnaking PG, because his offense is free flowing. Matter of fact a scoring PG is the perfect addition to them.
