Why You Should Play Trails Into Reverie

- Trails Into Reverie is the bridge game for Crossbell and Cold Steel to the Calvard games of Kuro no Kiseki. Like the last bridge game Trails in the Sky the 3rd Reverie mixes up the Trails formula in quite a few ways most of them positive. Any Trails fan should give Reverie a play.

Everything I've heard about Reverie so far, especially the Corridor, points to it being very similar to Trails in the Sky: The Third, but with story in the real world as well as the dungeon.
I can't wait to play it, but I still have three Cold Steel games to finish before I can even look at it.

I hope so too along with any of the other bugs (although sincerely glad we didn't get some of the ones that were in the Japanese release on top of these)
They have patched it on pc now. Not sure about consoles

Game is great and has massive content...I am at the end but 140 hours played, and have all the post game content in Riverie Corridor left. Its like Sky the Third but on steroids and with adventure and plot in the real world too....to think only in the Daydreams you have hours upon of hours of content...mindblogging.

It's a fantastic game. Even without playing any previous trails games or knowing the story i think its a great game. Turn based RPGs with a lot of content is exactly what i want from a game.
Great video. My only issue with the game so far is the music mixing, sometimes it's hidden way at the back when it should be a bit more prominent. I didn't realise the link attack thing was a bug I just thought they were cut corners or something 😅 Is it possible to get Estelle from the gold orbs in the Corridor? I'm thinking about save scumming for her (I'm at the third stratum now)
It is not possible to get her from gold orbs but you will get her in the Corridor eventually anyways

Tokyo Xanadu and Reverie has gotten me way too invested in Magical Alisa. Falcom need to make a full anime series for that title.
I feel like this isn't the last time we've seen Magical Girl Alisa and yeah a full anime would be cool if unlikely
Honestly if you can wait a few months for them to fix the game its probably worth it. Somehow nisa broke a ton of things and majorly slacked in other areas.
Most of the mechanical bugs are fixed by now but the game is still plagued by wrong item and craft descriptions which will either break your immersion or straight up cause you to not understand what some items are doing.
It applies to a ton of equipment, most food, a bunch of quartz and masterquartz, some brave orders were copypaste from CS4 and are thus inaccurate.
Then there is of course the localization and its real bad this time around. Honestly if you don't mind taking a small hit in performance and graphics I'd suggest you get the CLE version and use the fanpatch to get the Zerofield translation.
NisA out did themselves with their BS, they rewrite entire scenes with their own fanfic dialogue, constantly make characters talk weird and use phrases nobody would ever use. Some scenes like the school daydream are completely filled with cringe dialogue because someone thought it was funny to make the girls all talk in memes when in the JP version they just talk normally(they aren't even doing the JK/gyaru speak).
Having played both versions its quite sad how many scenes I was looking forward to revisiting on the Official EN release and then ended up disappointed when the impact was ruined by really bad dialogue.

Bugs and possible jank not withstanding i enjoyed and reverie and will gladly keep it on hand just as i keep sky the 3rd for sky characters

Sure, you should play this game if you're still invested... And if you're new, Don't start with this one. You can't.
And if you don't care about the series anymore Like I do...
Then don't bother playing. It will always remain the same, for better or worst.
I played all 4 games I hate it cause no one dies in the game this game sucks how everyone so powerful n no one dies is this a kids game come on now we are adults waste of time u can literally tell the ending all the time this must be a Disney made game like it tries to be serious but it isn’t it’s a joke story is a joke was there even any danger man they held your hands the whole game lol
The lack of consequences for important characters is a common critique but that’s just the story they wanted to tell (at least for this arc). I agree the story would be better with greater stakes for our characters
That's the point. There's an actually ingame explanation as to why "no one dies". But you played "all 4 games" while there's actually 10 in the West atm, so I'm assuming you played Cold Steel only, no wonder you are lost.
In essence characters do die, but you are "playing the fixed good timeline" so they escape death.

Not dying is integral to the plot. A lot of characters do die but they are not the playable ones, the playable ones can't die by design. I can't explain this without spoiling
