- The American co-founder of Microsoft, Paul Allen discovered the wreckage of the biggest warship of the Japanese Imperial Army during the World War 2. This is the "Musashi" battleship which is found by a billionaire explorer in the Sibuyan Sea in Central Visayas.

It's just so beautiful that the ship is intact. Unlike her sister ship Yamato which is in two separate parts. The Bow section is upright while the stern section is updside down. Musashi on the other hand is upright. The ship went down by the bow. It may have blown up because of the detonation of the magazines but the ship stayed a whole.

Probably there's no arguing that wreckage was from Musashi, she was downed in the Sibuyan Sea while trying to halt the American invasion of Leyte during WWII.
She's just sleeping 1km away from the surface, moreover no one knows that she is down there,thus all her equipment are still intact( not looted ).
Good thing that no one thought that shes down there just waiting to be found.

Maj gonna disagree with the same part.. you can spot the difference of both sister ships in their mid section on Yamato over both visible 18" turrets. Yamato had 2 triple 25mm AA mounts on each of these turrets, none of Musashi's turrets had AA mounts on the roof and the most noticable differences between Yamato and Musashi, the remaining differences concern the 25mm AA mounts scattered around the deck.

IJN Musashi was a part of Japanese Imperial Navy's Force A, along with Forces B and C, the mission was to encircle the American forces who embark the invasion of Leyte in October 1944. She was sunk on October 26 that year.

I wonder if she is deep enough to avoid being ripped apart by scavengers looking for her pre-nuclear steel and all the other precious metals on her. There are other ww2 wrecks in more shallow water that have been torn to bits.

I think the Musashi is to deep for any major salvage operations to happen.They are war graves and should be treated as such.

German BB has Thicker armor, may AP Superior, mahina ang accuracy pag malayuan dahil ung scatter nya is kalat, pero malakas sila sa close range and secondary armament is malayo ang range. US BBs has good accuracy, and AA superiority, supportive sa kapwa warships

I think you must say "isa sa pinakamalaking" not "pinakamalaking" kasi parang sinasabi mo na si Musashi ang pinakamalaki and seems like you're discrediting Yamato. Battleship Yamato and Musashi are ALMOST of the same size but that doesn't mean Musashi is the same as Yamato. Musashi is a Yamato class battleship and a sister ship to Yamato (only a sister ship but not Yamato herself). According to history, it is not MUSASHI the largest/biggest battleship built in history. It is the Yamato. Yamato is the PINNACLE OF BATTLESHIP BUILDING IN HISTORY. It is the apex of military engineering throughout history. (its 18.1 inch gun is the largest one built afloat) It took the Japanese 10 years to build this ship. They even have to withdraw from an international treaty where US is one of the members. The withdrawal from the treaty stripped the Japanese from the restrictions that the treaty had imposed.

Yamato and Musashi are both same ships and off the same class. It's supposed to have 5 ships in the Yamato class but the only built 3 ships. Yamato, Musashi and a converted aircraft carrier Shinano. So in this case, Musashi and the Yamato are the same size if you're wondering.

The yamato class was WEAK, very very pood protection against torpedo allowed all of the 3 ships to be sunk easily, especially Shinano, just 4 torpedo, but that is bc the crew wasn't like the musashi one, and there no water doors installed so f.
