I think one alternative style is, if ure not building a storey building , u don't need to tie the building lintel with lot of iron rods. Use lintels where you have a door or window openings.

I,m from Germany currently in Accra just bought my second plot at Bortianor behind westhill mall for 35.000$ ocean view is the street name and I guess the name is program. Nice ocean view and hill view. All legit did my fence wall for my first plot the seller is well knowend there he handled the land guards and I can build in peace. My neighbour is an American veteran and an Australian who also purchased there land from the seller Ben and already build to the second level. So if anyone is looking for a safe plot all documents are there to do your du diligence. Hit me up I connect you I need more nice neighbours. 😊

Pay attention to building codes. Fellows try fiber rod technology instead of iron rods.

You see how greedy we are. The cement price was pegged against the dollar rate. Now dollar has gone down so much but they reduced the price very little. Thieves in Ghana

Build with fired clay bricks. Clay is abundant in Ghana. The thermal effects are positive for tropical country as Ghana. Fire resistant and great acoustic. Fired bricks are natural and healthy. Look in the Christian Bible there God used clay several times. God breathed life into clay. We are talking about science and spirituality. Please NOT cement concrete buildings that produce heat and depression. Cathedrals throughout the world were built from clay and they have stood the test of time- more that thousand years old cathedrals in Denmark. The double wall city of the first seat of christianity, the Hagia Sophia ( the church of Mary and Christ) or Church of Holy Wisdom is still there today in Istanbul Turkey (used to be constantinople in North East Africa) That church was commissioned by Emperor Justinian and his wife Theodora. The church was built by Africans. Today it is a Mosque. It was moved to Europe to what is today the Vatican built 1445. Your ancestors in the several kingdoms in Africa were not stupid. They built with clay. It was the colonial administrations that introduced cement, mean while the same Europeans in the western world built and continue to build with fired clay bricks or integrate clay into their buildings. But Ghana is full Johny concrete buildings. 😂
