The 9-5 rat race leads a lot of people to feeling empty and depressed. I’ve shifted my life goals to see beyond a 9-5. I want to use my gifts and talents to bring in my income rather than slaving away at a 9-5.
It definitely gets tiring it’s like modern day slavery. Girl that’s why we have to keep pushing and have multiple streams of income
I agree with you 100%. I’m in the Fire Movement. I’m only running this rat race for a few years then retiring. I want to be able to enjoy my life while I’m still young enough.
We are always only a number smh I have to agree with you... I wish I could find something I love to leave the 9-5 world. This cant be life!!

I currently work 39 hours a week and definitely don't wanna do that forever. I wanna live in true happiness 😤🤗

The best blessing in disguise was my 9-5 turning into a work from home job during the past years events 😳It freed me from salary slavery so i can finally work on my own business and take all the care and pacing i need and still get the few benefits lol
I used to think that the 9-5 was the way to a successful and liberating life as a child. Now I realize that there’s so many opportunities out here. Happiness is important and peace. It’s hard to have that in some full time roles. I think that you’re right about the us millennials and generation x because we will quit after a year or leave a role after 3-5 years if it’s not suitable, unlike our parents and parents’ parents.
Work depression is a real thing.
Defo, our generation really is different with the whole quitting when aren’t happy ✌🏾 and yes work depression defo is a real thing, draining
Like I can't just do this whole 9-5 work, I tried it for 3 months and almost lost it. Plus the pay was not just worth it at all

I feel you! eventually I would like my own business.. but for now working from home is a lot better than going in the office for me☺
I’m so happy i’m blessed to be a stay at home mom and work on my craft and things I love to do. My husband works at his family Business that been around for over 50 years that we can go in whenever we want to hang out with him if the kids want to see him more or they can stay and hang out with their dad their grandma and granddad all at once.

9-6 is difficult a NO NO NO, unless your working for yourself and even so 9-6 is longgg. And the worst 2 things are you don’t get paid enough you just get paid to pay your bills and secondly the employer do not value your time. I have watch my parents slave their life away n I don’t wanna do that. I feel like this generation has the opportunity everywhere to become their own boss. Just need to put their efforts into what they really enjoy rather than putting that energy onto a job that they not happy about or working long hours.
Exactly 9 - 5 you literally working just to pay your bills. Endless, sad cycle which most people are in. Luckily in our generation we have loads more opportunities to make a change if we really want too.
The cold hard truth is...
Humans live in a user pays world...(even if you don't like it)
9-5 will not change in your life time.
Most peoples money goes on paying for rent\mortgage
Then we get addicted to buying lots of material possession.
The only way to solve this is to become a super minimalist.
Most people pay off a house with 1 to 2 people
It takes them a life time
You need to buy a house with 10 people.
People have to choose between owning stuff or time...
Unless your parents are millionaires.
Unless their happy giving you lots of money....
Global population has gone up.
Housing has not...
But houses to be design for more people living closer together...
But it's expectations that kills us....
If you learn to love little hobbies you could survive.
Everything you said was facts. It's the rat race and it's depressing. It's something I think about constantly

Right having a 9-5 ain't it. There are other ways to earn a living that gives you the freedom to live a full life on your own terms.
