    Roof rails, tow hitch, rear wiper, 22in wheels, biggest motor, biggest and widest tires, etc make this the worst case scenario for the Macan EV assuming we never get the small battery versions. The result is pretty solid. Much better than the original Model Y with the larger battery (78-82 or whatever). But I'm not sure how the latest Model Y would perform because Tesla always does minor updates

    • @ATORO1
      @ATORO1 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That Model Y hit 286 miles with 12,000 rental miles and 2kW degradation. Fresh one would make 2kW worth farther 293 miles.

      @@PEACEOUTXX1 Not really. Lots of people buy cars to get from A to B including wealthy people. Plenty of people in my subdivision don't even qualify for the tax credit yet the Tesla is what they are picking because it offers a ton of car for the money. The Macan doesn't offer a whole lot more for almost double the price. Especially when the refreshed Model Y comes, it will be a difficult ask to pay 85K for Macan comparably equipped to a Model Y. New highland models 3 is excellent and feels like a proper German competitor. The refreshed model Y should be improved significantly. Not to the Macan level but I'd argue close enough to where the main reason you're paying for the Macan is badge or other subjective reasons. Especially because it's rumored the Model Y comes with a larger battery better performance, etc in addition to the Model 3 highland upgrades.

    • @ayushmalpeddi2793
      @ayushmalpeddi2793 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ATORO1 that Model Y was tested with the larger 20in induction wheels too. On the 19in Gemini wheels it's possible that a RWD version with the large battery can easily exceed 300 miles of range. Incredible since it range is comparable to a Macan while using a 18% smaller battery.

    Any thoughts on phantom drain? I am gong to place an order for either a 4 or a 4S this week. Definitely going for the smaller wheels. I really want the 4S, but 288 miles cuts it very close. My typical routine is... charge to 90%, drive 110 miles on Sunday, the car sits parked Sunday through Thursday in a garage, then I drive back 110 miles for the weekend. My Model X, that this will replace, offers plenty of range to allow for phantom drain.

    Why can’t Porsche create a better name than Turbo when this EV does not have a turbocharger? I dislike misleading labels. What’s next, a gas pedal?
