Wow that is a hard one there are so many I don't know how anyone can choose, I listen to the new stories then I have a session and I go back and look for the really old stories that I haven't heard in ages maybe even years that makes me unsure of my favourite all over again!
I don't think I could decide even if it was my top 20 best stories.
Just goes to show just how brilliant all these personal encounters are. Well done everyone for submitting such wonderful experiences xxx

I live in the Ozark Mountain region of Arkansas and grew up here, so I know all of the typical sounds you'd hear at night. This past year, I got into the habit of sitting outside in the evening and spending some time to unwind. Last October I was hanging out outside with my cat when I heard this blood curdling screech from something flying overhead. Instantly, my blood ran cold and chills ran down my spine. I thought to myself "What tf could possibly be flying around at three in the morning making that kind of sound?!" Now, like I said, I grew up here, so I hear other nightlife creatures such as owls all the time. In fact, some owls live very close by and i hear them almost every night. Whatever made this sound was far too big to be a bird, and I don't know of many other creatures that can fly around in the middle of the night. After I heard that sound, I turned around and went back inside, like every fiber of my being was screaming at me to do, and I didn't DARE look up. I tried texting my sister to tell her, but she didn't wake up. I still go sit outside at night even now. Because it's not the night time that freaks me out, it's the unknown creatures that inhabit it that do. 😱

Excellent work as always. You've become my favorite narrator over time. Excellent retelling is only part of it. Curating quality sources is where you shine for me.
Many narrators went down the path of "let's not meet" style of "real horror". The gimmick wears thin though. Over time it just becomes clear that style is just another form of creative fiction.
There's a bit more variety going on here. A wider pallet. Diversity of content.
I lived in the Ozarks many years. I have a few paranormal tales, but none are really very chilling. Just kind of interesting.
What scary, true, and shocking things I CAN share of the Ozarks are about people. Real and verifiable (in some cases) but you'll never make a dollar telling those stories here. None of these tales are monetizable.

Some big cat expert that runs a zoo out here actually got hair samples of the Ozark Howler but as is usually the case there's nothing in their data base to compare it against so it always comes back inconclusive. I live in the Missouri side of the Ozarks as they run into Missouri as well and there's a National Park here, Mark Twain National forest it runs from St.Louis in northern Missouri to south well into Arkansas and into Kentucky and Tennessee and I've heard of lots of missing persons incidents coming out of that national park and the Ozarks in general. Honestly I advise not going into any of our national parks or wildlands unprepared, when I go out there it's with a big group on atvs and well armed and back up equipment for everything and I won't go out there any other way, aside from the unknowns that live out there, there are known animals and elements to contend with. Be safe

I am from Massachusetts. Over the years, I have heard many weird stories about paranormal and supernatural experiences which friends and acquaintances have had in the Quabbin Reservoir region. I have never seen much about this topic on TH-cam or the Internet. I would love to see a video about the Quabbin Region of Massachusetts. :)

If I were that man that went through them experiences i'd be apprehensive whilst thinking about your relatives visiting knowing the last time that happened your worst nightmare appeared and its possibly about to resurface when they arrive im sure your heart would beat twice as quick as it was prior to them being on your property yet again. Just add MR MONSTER and presto you have been taken back all those years like a portal had just swallowed you up and now your standing on a trail path when you hear it again that same breathing. NO!! NO!! NO!! SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT KEEP ON SHOOTING!!! MY LUCK IF NOT FOR BAD LUCK I'D HAVE NO LUCK AT ALL.

Personally, I think that the howler (hoohoo/ozark howler whatever you wanna call it) is actually a real thing. Yes, 85% of these stories are legit if they originate for the area, but I mean as your usual wildlife. I’ve heard them many times, and I’ve started to think they are either a new species, what people actually say that it is, or just your typical puma/mountain lion/cougar that people haven’t seen make them sound.
    The Ozarks are fun!

Just a thought, I think it would be cool to set up a way to post these 30-40 min videos every other day or every third day then the long ones, 1-2 hour, like on a Friday or something that way a viewer would have something to listen to after a hard week of work, or on a Sunday to wrap up a week. Just some thoughts
