Cyberpunk Futuristic is a subgenre of science fiction in a futuristic setting that tends to
focus on high tech featuring advanced technological and scientific achievements, such as
artificial intelligence and cybernetics. China has many cities that fit this genre. The aerials are the best yet. This is a new genre of CyberPunk Cities that shows the future. Focused on the advancement of China in the last 40 years to the future. Clean cities, AI, technology, and the advancement of infrastructure. Unlike sci-fi dystopian cities of the future, these cities are in harmony with their society without the breakdown of values, individualist ideology, poverty, crime, conflict, and destruction. China has many mega cyberpunk cities like Chongqing, Guangzhou and an amazing blade runner style of buildings. Cyberpunk 2077 takes direction from these Chinese futuristic cities.

I was born and raised in China. I’ve been taking these for granted cuz I could see these Cyber punk scenes in nearly every city I’ve been to. Even if I was living in China, Western media got me brainwashed too. Until I came to the US 3 years ago, I realized I made a huge mistake taking all those for granted. Everlasting road construction in America taught me that the roads are not always wide and smooth effortlessly, that high speed train are not built effortlessly. Americans has taught me that they don’t seem to welcome me like how I welcomed them in China. Soon enough, America has taught me how to love China again, effortlessly.

Living in China is a photographer's dream. No matter how long you've lived here, even in the same city, there is always something interesting and beautiful that you discover. Everything is built with a plan to make it visually appealing, from sidewalks to parks to pedestrian bridges, and even highways that often are lined with beautiful flower pots

The reason you see New York, Paris and Kyoto photographed a lot more is because not only is the architecture pretty but those cities are vibrant and full of life, the streets are left to the people.
I grew up on the countryside in Europe and couldn’t imagine living in a megacity forever, but experiencing this for a few months would be absolutely amazing.

I’ve never realized how amazing and advanced Chinese infrastructure is. It looks even better than Japan’s. We don’t really know much about China here in the US, all we know is they have good food and they make cheap products. It’s a pity western media doesn’t talk about the good things of China, only the bad because it’s a communist country.
Good food and cheap products should not really be counted as some bad stereotype, they are amongst many other reasons why China industrialised at that rapid pace.

I can attest to this as an expat who worked and live in China for more than 10 years across 6 different cities. This is not necessarily an utopia but it is definitely where I appreciated part of my life having spent in this great country.

I have been to China personally. China is the most safe and prosperous country I feel at present. I can go to the night market in peace of mind at night and treat foreign friends very kindly. Only when you have experienced firsthand that foreign countries have a wrong perception of a peace-loving China. I am looking forward to my next visit to China.

Epic, well done Alex on another masterpiece. I sincerely respect, enjoy and love your view of China. The choreography of image to music is a perfect balance. I think this is the best drone footage, editing music remix so far. As a humble suggestion (as a professional seasoned designer of way too many years living in Singapore) a momentary/flash suggestion of Asian faces (old and young), food, smiles/laughter, traditional music (a human/Asian cultural/food/textural details) would add depth and contrast to your work. looking forward to the next one. Respect.

I had to entertain a client from Shanghai so we took him for a tour on the hop-on hop-off Big Apple bus, you know, just to show off how cool New York City is. Manhattan is a hundred year old city, so it bounds to look old.
These cities are not more than 30 years old.
But if you'll gonna ask the people there where they want to live, most of them will still choose New York: bar none.
New York City is old, but there's a certain charm in it that a futuristic city will not be replaced.

I've been to Hong Kong and Guangzhou. There are lots of other cities in Guangdong I have visited, Shenzhen, Jiangmen, Dongguan. I like to visit the bigger cities but my friends like to travel to smaller cities and rural areas, like Guilin and Lushan. But we did travel to Changsha and Nanchang to run in marathons. Nice video.
If you are the one who likes concrete forest just like me, you should go visit Shenzhen, Shanghai and Chongqing next time buddy.
@@cheungchingtong I have been to Shenzhen. Usually, when people travel to other countries they like to visit the big urban areas and when traveling near their own country like to get away from the urban concrete and reunite with nature in rural areas.

Actually China is a great place for filming. You can have cyberpunk views in cities like these, and there’s also a lot of peculiar landforms for fiction movies like Avatar, which was filmed in and based on the natural sceneries in ZhangJiaJie. I can even relate some of the movies’ shots of Mars or other planets to sceneries in GanSu province. Pure beauties and master pieces of nature, and together with those futuristic giant cities, that’s why China is mysteriously attractive isn’t it?
