Thank you for the detailed information. I already have the one delta pro and thinking of installing smart home panel 1st version. But I have few questions, based on your usage and experience, how durable and reliable first version smart panel is? What’s big difference between new version and old for the simple setup like using one or two delta pros ?? Please advise
Hey there! A few things. With the new SHP2, you will HAVE to use two delta pros together with the double voltage hub to provide power to the SHP2. You can't just use one original DP by itself (You can use 1x Ultra). So that's one difference to keep in mind. The new SHP2 gives you 12 circuits vs 10 so that might be helpful depending on your household needs. The new SHP2 also seems to be a simpler and cleaner internal design, I'm not an electrician but the pro I hired to install it had installed both the original SHP and he said the new SHP2 was far easier to install and made a lot of sense to him. The original SHP seems very durable to me (my one issue not withstanding). In fact, even with that problem as long as I only connected 1 DP it would work just fine. I had issues when trying to run 2xDPs. Hope that helps some.
I am off-grid and hope you can tell me if I can use this panel in place of a main breaker box or do I need both? That seems to be redundant since I will have all my circuits on the Delta Pro system (except Air Conditioning since those will be totally separate)
Yes, you could use this as your main breaker box (assuming you will have no grid power coming in). Obviously, if you run out of power everything will go down so size accordingly. :)
If the electronics in the SHP2 gets damaged, is there a way to bypass it on the SHP2 to get power directly from the main panel? This seems to be an important requirement if I'm putting all my critical circuits into the SHP2.
That's a great question. I don't know that I can answer it, it might depend on how and to what extent the damage you mention occurs. My guess is that it would bypass successfully, however I'd recommend posing that question directly to Ecoflow.
On the Original SHP I can run some circuits on solar and some on grid and make changes on the app depending on battery percentage, Will the SHP2 have the same functions?
Yes, you can choose to run certain circuits on battery and others on grid. Basically, the SHP2 has all of the configuration capabilities of the first SHP + additional options.
Yes, the SHP2 is compatible with 220VAC. Although I would say for more specific questions you might want to reach out to Ecoflow directly. I think you'd be in good shape though.
You should check with Ecoflow as you may need a model designed to use 220V 50 Hz. Products sold in America will be for 240V 60 Hz, with two 120V legs making the 240V (N, L1, L2, G). There might be a different circuit board required for different markets. Most of the world is more like your grid than ours, so it is likely they will have a compatible model.
The SHP2 supports 50HZ, when you set it up in the EF app you select what voltage/hertz your region provides. Can't share a screenshot here in the comment but it's available in the app.
I believe a qualified yes, it depends on the output and specs though. For the best integration experience they would probably recommend the EF smart generator model.
Yes! You can hook up to a total of 6x DP (with 3x double voltage hubs) to the Smart Home Panel. That definitely makes the original Delta Pros more useful and is one major redeeming factor of the new SHP2. You can also do a combination of 2x DP, 1x Ultra and maybe 2x DP3 if you wanted.
@@DanielGoodwin-jq1oc Thanks for the response. That is very interesting. Seems like that would give some shelf life to the DP...especially if they keep coming down in price
More circuits is a must
Great idea Eco flow delta pro 3 system 😎👍
Great review thank you so much for taking the time.

I like that the SHP2 has 3 i/o ports, but would be nice if there was an option for 3 i/o ports without the smart panel part.

Where did you find the DVH and the cables to connect your 2 DPs to the SHP2? I want to change over to the newer system and get the DPU.
You can buy direct from Ecoflow here:

In Vietnam, the Grid supply is having only N, L(220V) and Grnd. Does the SMP2 work with this grid supply?

Can a Honda gas generator supply power to the Smart Home panel 2?
I believe a qualified yes, it depends on the output and specs though. For the best integration experience they would probably recommend the EF smart generator model.
Can you run a second or even a third pair of DP's in the SHP2?

I expect that for Black Friday, the refurbished DPs from EF will be around $1,000. That's a pretty good deal if you have the solar panels to run them.
