He was inexplicably brilliant. Shame what's happened to him in Madrid, but unlike others who were a 1 season wonder, or "next best thing" and fell off, Eden Hazard showed us what he was capable of and consistently proved to be a world class player. He was in that bracket for me, top 3 at his peak to be honest. People don't realize how incredible he was.

He carried Chelsea for 7 years even with teams that are much much worse than this one under Tuchel and he deserves the ultimate respect from us Chelsea fans.💙🙏 IMO he should also get a statue along with Roman, Lamps, Terry, Drogba and Cech but we will see if the new owners are more inclined on building statues than Roman was.

I am Barca fan who loved to watch Chelsea play only because of this man. According to me he's the closest player that resembles Messi's game. The dribbling, playmaking ability, that vision and skills were second to none. Always wanted him to see at Barca but it never happened and now watching his career getting wasted at Madrid only increases the pain 💔. to this day im not convinced that anyone has ever had a more accurate and harder hitting shot to the bottom half of the net than hazard. you can see in this compilation, majority of his goals are low or off the ground but he hits it so hard he makes professional keepers look like they're in slow motion. same with his penalties he just mindfakes them and then rifles it. there's really no comparison when it comes to the combination of low, accurate, and hard hitting shots.

I had Zola 25 on all my shirts as a kid and never thought I'd see a player like that in a blue shirt again Lampard, Terry, Osgood, Drogba may get the top Legend spots, but Hazard is technically the best and most skilful footballer in the clubs history and we were so lucky to have him. He stayed loyal t the club for so long despite interest from Madrid, and nobody could deny him that move after winning every domestic cup in England. Such a shame how quickly his career stalled from injury. He had the raw potential to reach Messi levels had he continued his Chelsea form. Thanks Eden! All the best in retirement!
